I applied for a job online on Indeed.com and received a text on 6-13-22 from 219-212-3703 saying that she( Linda Edwards) was with Vanzetti Engineering and that my application was selected and they wanted me to download skype to do a interview. I downloaded skype and was instructed to contact Barbara Coleman by adding her profile live:.cid.44f2c66a3f464198.The reference code was VANZETTI 4444. I went through the interview process remotely through text. She offered me the job and said that Human Resources will be contacting me by email to get me new hire info in. I received a email from [email protected] with a New hire form, W4 and I-9 form. I filled out all the information but I didn't put my SSN on the form. "Barbara Coleman" skyped me and said that they will send a check via USPS for me to purchase all the training materials I need to start work. The first tracking # she sent was 9102101236135635172543 USPS but she said this package encountered some issues and that a new tracking # with FED-EX was processed 274591171994. The check came over night for $4892.00 from 1Source Bank, but under my name it had Title Texas Company. I took the check Hancock bank and was informed this was indeed a SCAM. Once I informed "Barbara Coleman" that there were many red flags she never responded again. I did not give this person my SSN nor Banking account information, but I will like for this to be investigated through the IPN or email that was initiating conversation so they can be stopped and charged with fraud. I was contacted in regards to a data entry position and was asked to preformed the interview via signal messaging platform. I proceeded with caution and did some research on LinkedIn to find that the company was legitimate but, located in Italy and there was only two employees listed that worked in the US. Both of them posted that they had been hired within the past two days. Then the "interviewer" send some information about where the "support office" in the US is located as well as the address for the actual company in Italy. I looked up the US office to find that the address leads to The Corporation Trust Company in Delaware. After reading the reviews (this address is very well known apparently and not in a good way) the location I promptly cut communication for the "interview" and blocked the number. Be diligent and do your research! Don't fall for it no matter how good the pay seems!!!
