I sent in my experience. I was on my computer in October, 2020, when all of a sudden the computer made this loud noise. Bells, whistles, and loud talking. Instructed me not to do anything but call a number on the screen. I called. They said my computer was corrupted and I needed to pay $ 199.99 to have it fixed. I paid it, wrote a check to digyleap. I purchased a new computer about 3 months later and had to pay again. I am a senior citizen and was told I could purchase a lifetime plan for I think $625.00. Wrote a check to digyleap again. On 12/10/21 there was a scam in my email, I called Uptech. They told me my computer is corrupted. They worked on my computer all day Friday and Saturday. They told me I am a victim of identity theft. Uptech offered me a permanent protection plan to clean up my computer and prevent anyone from watching my information on the internet. There are 3 plans, 1. for $898.99, 2. 1549.40, 3. 1998.99. All plus tax and a $200.00 installation fee. I'm unable to pay that kind of money. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. They offered a payment plan for this permanent protection. I felt I am being scammed so I started to Google and found someone has had the same experience I have had. I'm afraid to use my computer even afraid to use my phone. I have to do something to hopefully get out of this mess. Told them I wouldn't be able to do anything until April because of bills and then it will be difficult. Don't know what to do, hope you are able to help me. Tell who to talk to. Don't know anyone that knows computers. Feels like blackmail. Each contact they want more money. Please help me out of this situation!
