On Facebook, it appeared that a Tupperware store was having a "going out of business" sale with great deals. So I ordered $43 worth of items, received a confirmation email with order number but haven't received the items. Tracking indicates it's at the carrier and has been for 3 weeks now. Contacted the real Tupperware to learn that the website tuppeware-us.com nor the order numbers provided were a legitimate. Reported to credit card company who stated to also report at BBB, so here I am.

Saw Tupperware advert on Instagram. Looked up website and appeared legit. Ordered $50 worth of products with free shipping on 10/26/2024. Payment was processed through bank account next day labeled VISA DEBIT SWQQA Shop London GB plus our bank charged an international service fee of $.50. Nowhere on the website does it state the company is out of the US, or that it is in Great Britain. Haven't received items to date. Sent email asking for update. Then tried to get more info from my account I created on their website. I found the shipping address they used and realized they translated our Spanish street name to the English word, so Luciernaga Street became Firefly Street for the shipping address. I located a phone number on the site, 1-800-877-7379 and called it but it was for a medical alert/Medicare company. I looked up Tupperware official site (a different one) and their phone number, 1-800-887-7379, which I called, was legit and was 1 number off from the fake one (877 vs 887). The Tupperware-us.com site has official language, looks real, but obviously now we have realized that it is fake. There is no way to get our money back as the bank says we authorized the payment. This company should not be allowed to remain active using the Tupperware name, official info and operating to scam money out of people. I have sent 2 emails to the [email protected]; 1 was asking for status of the delivery and the 2nd one was demanding a change to the shipping address to Luciernaga and not a translation to Firefly. Obviously, now that we know we were duped, we will not be getting a response. Additionally, they list a 2nd email address as [email protected].

The website was very convincing. There were multiple pages that all had URLs that started with the same phony website name (shopping cart, order confirmation, etc). I have not been to the actual Tupperware site to compare, but they did have pictures of dozens, if not hundreds, of items that were recognizably Tupperware, with realistic descriptions and dynamic viewing. There was even a "Beware of fraud" page that listed their fake website as the real one. The fake phone number does not connect to a fake Tupperware customer service, but it is only one digit off from the real Tupperware number which I Googled. The fake number connected to a life alert bracelet sales number (which also could be fake).

Knowing that Tupperware is having financial struggles, I believed that the company was closing and having this "flash sale". When I saw the sale add I searched the site for red flags and it appeared to be a legitimate website for Tupperware. There is also information of previous customer reviews and "Avoiding Fraud" details. I felt safe using this website, until the receipt emails I received have information of International charges made from China and London for the two orders I placed.
