on the 23rd December 2015,I was online searching for tickets. I was on flydealfare.com. Aman started chatting and offered $5000 for 3 persons for travel to India from December 25th- Jan 3rd. He took all the names of the passenger, what passport each passenger had and then asked me for the credit card number. Once he got my chase credit card, he increased the rate to $7,500. Then he wanted me to pay cash to Bank of America and half the amount to PayPal. I.I refused to do so. He told me since it is a huge amount United airlines refuses to accept huge amounts. Later in the day I noticed he withdrew and maxed out my credit card of $10,000.He wanted my driver’s license number as well as the passport number, then he wanted me to give him $3000 dollars more. I turned down all his requests. He wanted my husband's debit card, credit card too. He wanted my photo id along with my signature which I reluctantly gave. Once I noticed that I was scammed and no tickets were issued, I notified the police department .Then Aman kept on calling me harassing me for more money. At this point, I informed him to cancel the ticket. He told me that the tickets will be issued in 1 hr. Around 8 pm that night. I called them and they informed me that the ticket was cancelled due to lack of fund. I asked them for refund and they told me it was nonrefundable. They called me the full night. Then the next day December 24th, Aman called to say that the ticket was not cancelled and that United Airlines did not issue the tickets and they would issue it within 4 hrs. I was on the phone constantly asking them for my refund or ticket till 6 pm. ultimately after coming back from Xmas midnight mass, again they told me that the tickets were cancelled. The police department called them on Xmas day and told them to refund my full amount or face the consequences. They did refund my full amount 3 days later. Police department also filed a complaint on ic3.gov and I have also filed one in Mid-January. I was harassed for 2 full days with continuous phone calls and threats and no e tickets or any plane tickets.
