I am an international student struggling to find work in this time of the pandemic. As an international student I am authorized to work in the united states with my OPT authorization which I can prove with my EAD card. Otherwise I can work if the job offers me visa sponsorship. I saw a job posting on Indeed for an OPT sponsored engineer role. This role was advertised to accept OPT students with the possibility of visa sponsorship after hiring. I did a quick search of their website and their LinkedIn profile. I applied for it. They got back to me by email(I will attach a screenshot of our conversation), asking me for my personal information. I was desperate and in my desperation I was fooled into giving them my information. After thinking about the situation, I did a more thorough research to find out that they had a very vague website, the location on the website did not match the location on the email, and on google the location on the website is a public park. Their LinkedIn profile has no job listing available, and the have members that don't exist on LinkedIn listed as working for them, all of which I didn't check for on my initial search.

I sent them my social security number, passport, DOB, i-94, EAD card,

Drivers License, Educational Documents
