I answered an ad on Craigslist around June 21 asking for a personal and financial assistant and this man said that he needed someone to receive checks for him so he could purchase artwork. I agreed but still felt suspicious even though he seems to have a legitimate website but my suspicion was why would he need a third party to buy art supplies and have clients send the money to the third party as well. Just seemed really strange that he would need that, why not just have clients send him money directly. I did receive one check from a Charles Daniels of Dallas, Texas for 4800 and refused to deposit it as it just all felt so wrong. I told him I was not going to do this at all and he instructed me to destroy the check. It just all feels like a big set up to me. I have the image of the check on my phone if you need proof.
