Saw post on Facebook marketplace for truck bed replacement that was sold from Texas Salvage in Katy Texas. Contacted them via messenger then spoke with them in person requesting more pictures and information about the bed. Informed me if I wanted to hold the truck bed until I could pick up within the next few hours I would need to Zelle a deposit, which I did for $350. They said it would be 150 to ship it but would need to pay the rest by Zelle even though I was going to be coming in person to pick up the product. I did not pay the remaining balance but as I continue to travel to Katie to pick up, the seller quit communicating, answering the phone, or replying to text messages sent about the product. After further investigation I called surrounding businesses and they said that that location was a car lot and not a salvage lot and I realize that I had been scammed. I sent message to the seller stating that I was there to come out and meet me and he had blocked my number.
