Tech America Reports & Reviews (5)

They have miss information of the products they sale, I order some tables and they send me some brackets, when i told them that I needed a refund they are expecting me to pay for resending the product that THEY false advertised...

I received an email this morning in my comcast email from a Dr. Cynthia Larson from TechAmerica stating that the anti-malware product I purchased will be automatically renewed and my account charged today (01.31.22) for $349.00.
In order to cancel I have to call a number. I knew I did not order the product and figured - go ahead and just try to charge my credit card because I will deny the charge through my credit card company. I decided to search TechAmerica scam and this blog came up... I hope that other people do not fall for this and wind up having their computer security compromised or their personal information taken for identity theft reasons. Always do your homework - if you know you never purchased a product - just ignore the email and watch your credit cards for unauthorized charges...that is your best defense. IF you even attempt to contact them and start downloading their information you are putting your information at risk.

Received email that my "subscription to antivirus" would be auto renewed for $349 and that to cancel I had to call their service number. Once at the service number I was told to go to a website URL and enter a code. The page I opened seemed suspiciously like something a tech support would use to gain access to my computer! I immediately hung up and closed the browser. Then I investigated further. The email was sent via "comcast support" but on inspection it was a redirect from a weird address. I suspect once this company gained access to my computer, it would install malware or gain access to my assets. DO NOT ENGAGE !

I received a phone call reporting that my PC was sending messages that would allow other PC,s to intercept personal information, The name of the company is ( Tech America 583-295-9288 ). They wanted me to open my computer so that their technician could remove a virus on my PC for a large fee.
