Fake invoice scam from office supply vendor

Supervisor received phone call from "our office equipment vendor" - no name given. They asked for the model number of our copier/printer. We then received an invoice dated 5/22/26 addressed to the organization in general with the supervisor's name and phone number on it. Invoice from "Superior Supply Center, PO Box 185, Westminster, CA 92684. Ph: 626-506-8074". Listed were 2 toner cartridges for the same model and S&H for a total of 945.98

Received a fake invoice for copier supplies we didn't order.

I do not remember receiving a weird call from Superior Supply Center. We get weird calls a lot..we are a daycare. So people act like yelp,google etc. & their not. A lot of the people on here said they got a call and then received the invoice but im not too certain if i did receive a call and then the invoice or just received the invoice. Like i said we get ALOT OF PHONE CALLS. I am not the owner but I help run the business. I received this invoice in the mail. When it was so much money, at first im like no way. But then the more you think about it im like well maybe we do print/copy that much. So maybe it has just increased in price. But then when we sent it to my husband he did some digging. He got us the copier contract and hes like this is a lot of money and its not the normal people we use! So he found it out on this website/other websites - that they are doing the same exact thing to other people. Luckily we didnt pay it because we found it on here quick enough. But usually we would have. We have so many invoices; we just pay them.
I blocked out our business name, address, and phone number. Good luck. I hope this helps someone else like it did myself.
