I was registering my company with the what I thought was the secretary of state in the state of Minnesota. I was charged an un-usually large amount of fees for questionable services. In the end I paid twice what it would have been and had to find/fill out all the information on my own anyway.

I never received any certificates or proper receipts showing actual work done.

I was attenpting to register and LLC, and I went to a website that looked identical to the legitimate state website. I authorized $150 total, but was charged $588. I called customer support and they agreed to refund me $80 then hung up on me for being angry that I was out $500 additional dollars. I called back and the agent said she “wasn’t going to listen to that on a monday morning” and hung up on me again.

I WAS TRYING TO APPLY FOR LLC IN MAINE AND THIS SITE CAME UP, I THOUGHT IT WAS LEGIT BUT WHEN I WAS QUESTIONING IT I TRIED TO BACK OUT OF THE SITE AND WAS CHARGED ANYWAYS. THEY GAVE ME A BLANK FOR TO FILL OUT FOR MAINE LLC AND WAS TOLD I HAVE TO PAY MAINE SO THEY DID NOTING BUT PROVIDE A BLANK FORM

I was attempting to obtain a LLC through the State-filings.com site. The site appears to be 100% legitimate. I read through it and selected Pennsylvania. Now I wish i would have searched the company name on google first. I approved for the original charge of around $220ish and submitted that fee. After going through other promps after sending the approved payment, i was never again provided with any option to submitt or review other purchased and unknown to me, i was charged a total of $702.60. And it appears there is another $199.00 fee pending. I tried to shut the account down and they wanted me to pay another $199.00. Please be caution and contact someone within your own state before using these sites.

The scammers used predatory tactics on uninformed entrepreneurs trying to start a business. They overcharge for simple services and take money without consent. Their customer service is horrendous and they do not like to comply.
