Silent Chic (silentchic.com) appeared to me in a pop-up ad while I was playing mahjong online. They were advertising sea glass ornaments. I purchased two of them by credit card for a total of $34.95. A month later they arrived in a small envelope in the mail. When I opened the envelope, I found two ornaments that looked nothing like the photos in the ads. Not a lick of sea glass to be found. Instead, they were plastic discs with paper prints glued to them. One was supposed to also have a gold frame, which it did not. The ornaments looked like they came from a dollar store. This was a clear case of bait and switch, a scam by any definition.
