This company claims to offer coverage for a variety of home appliances, etc. However, once you have a claim, they will not answer the phone even though they give you a specific number to call if you have your own plumber, for example. They did not provide any services, as in they did not even provide numbers of technicians to call for any problems. Then they sent me emails about claims I did not even make. Then they told me something was not covered, which is stated clearly in the policy that it is covered. So if you want to pay more than $500 a year for nothing to be covered, this is the policy! Sure seems like a scam if you get the run around every time you call.

I called to cancel and they put me on hold 3 times for a total of about 45 minutes. I would not recommend this company to anyone. When they do cover something there are very low limits of coverage, but I never received any payout for any services.

Finally, they said they will charge me $75 to cancel!!!

I received so far eight phone calls with eight different numbers in the past three hours. They ask for some lady and name a different state saying that they are trying to get a hold of her. Each time I have said remove move me from your call list I am not her. One of the times somebody claiming to be Lucas, left me a voicemail saying “he’s from select home warranty, (claiming I was on the Website looking for a price quote). It says I am “in a very ball covered area and we are running a $200 specials here today if you were interested please give me a call back as soon as you can my direct there will be 308-830-7875.” Lots of typos and clearly fake. I cannot get them to stop and I’m pretty sure they’re not from Select Home Warranty. How do I get this to stop?

This form made me use scammers email, but all of the contact is a constant barrage of phone calls. No email.

A yr after purchasing my home warranty I called to report a problem with my refrigerator and electrical problem. Initially they gave me a tech who's number was out of service for the fridge and a tech who wouldn't call me back for the electrical problem. They told me I could obtain my own techs, pay them and they would reimburse me. After fighting them for 2 weeks, reminding them that was their job not mine, i got a tech for my fridge. I got a written estimate, 1k to replace my compressor. They denied my claim stating the compressor was part of the "sealed syestem" and that isn't covered. My question is if the compressor is part of the sealed system why is it listed as a covered part? And where is my electrician? And why don't they have any "available technicians"? Its been a month since I filed my claim, a month without a refrigerator. And now I have to pay 1k to have it fixed. Im very regretful for the purchase of this warranty. And to cancel it there is a cancelation fee and the refund is prorated.

Select Home Warranty. They do not pay contractors they send to your home. The send you contractors to call that are out of business or have moved to different states. When you call they play the transfer game or they put you on hold for 20-30minutes. They refuse to tell you where the company is physically located. This company lies about the service they provide and do not cover anything they claim. It's an absolute nightmare!
