Puppy scam is worst

The amount of anger and hate right now... I hope you find this before making the mistake worse. The puppy site seemed like all others. Heavenpitbulldoghome.com got me for 875. but this shipping company did not. Heart broken but stopped before buying the "required crate" for 1500.

Delivery Service Scam

I purchased a puppy from Sky Italian Greyhounds supposedly in New Jersey (although their phone number area code was Colorado). They sent me detailed information of the shipping arrangements through a company called PLLC Inter Company LTD. My pup was to arrive the next day. I got a text from the "delivery company" asking if I had received their email with all the shipping info. I had and actually checked the tracking info. It said the pup's shipping was on hold due to needing a special air conditioned crate mandated by the airlines due to COVID. I could buy or rent a crate (rental would be 90% refundable upon delivery). They had two crates: first most recommended was $2000 to buy and $1500 to rent; second was $1500 to buy, $1200 to rent. I didn't have the money as I had spent it on the puppy plus shipping (which had supposedly included an airline approved crate). I then got an email from their "cashier" requesting that I make payment through Zelle to a person named Alford Smiley I told them I didn't have money available through Zelle, so they suggested Apple Pay, which I don't have either. (These conversations were done on text not on email and were becoming more and more unprofessional. For example, they asked me how I paid the breeder for the pup.) I asked for a video of the pup as proof that they had her and it wasn't a scam, but they said they were too busy with other customers to leave their station to video her. Meanwhile I emailed the breeder and he said he talked to "his delivery guys" and although he didn't know about this new regulation, it was necessary for the pup's safe arrival. The website said they accept bitcoin, VISA, Mastercard, Discover card, American Express as well as Western Union. When I asked about that, they said their credit card system was down right now. Lastly they suggested I go to Walmart or CVC Pharmacy and get an AmEx gift card at which point I let them know that they had just proven to me that this was a scam and of course I have not heard from them since and I don't have a puppy. I have copies of all emails and the texts are saved on my phone. I contacted the "breeder" about this, but of course I have not heard back from them. I will file a separate report on them. I
