My stepdad currently changed his will or deed and had put my name on it. The company is asking for $112 and we can receive the grant deed or other record of title.

After going to the courthouse to transfer a deed I received a letter in the mail requesting me to purchase a property assessment profile for 112.00. This is for information that you generally can look up yourself or have access to at the courthouse in your county. On the bottom of the letter it states they aren't approved or endorsed by any governmental agency. Well in that case they shouldn't be in business then. They are also using P.O. Box 910 Norco, CA 92860-0917 . There are similar people scamming when you apply for a business license. And they make the letters look official. People can't do anything nowadays without someone else trying to take a piece of their pie.
