I got a phone call from this number a few minutes ago, which I didn’t recognize. The first thing the recording said was “can you hear me?” I said “yes,” and right as I did so I remembered hearing about the “say yes” scam. After that the message said something about saving money on insurance. I am frustrated that I did answer yes, and am concerned that I will be targeted.

I received a phone call from a person named ******* claiming to be from the fraud department of Amazon, he told me that I had 5 different Amazon accounts in my name, in multiple states and that someone had placed an order for an Apple device through my account, when I told him there was no record of that transaction in my order history he told me not to discuss this with anyone else because I told him that I was going to call Amazon. He wanted me to pull over while I was driving to be able to write something down and when I couldn't, he called me back about half an hour later but from a different number. He still claimed that he was from Amazons fraud department and proceeded to tell me that something was up with my social security number, I told him that there was nothing wrong with my social security number and that I had it verified through Amazon that there was no such purchase, he abruptly hung up on me.
