This scam has been going on for quite some time. The scammer pays for adspace on youtube.com and uses compromised channels to avoid being permanently banned. Scam claims if you go to the website swagscash.com, you will get $1000 when in reality, i believe this is a phishing scam to steal the money and identities of many innocent individuals.

Got a text from their phone number asking me to click on the site to join an app for a business I know for a fact does not have an app. The link took me to a landing page that was using that store's logo WITHOUT authorization.

When I contacted them to find out how they had gotten my cell number, why they were offering an app that didn't exist, and why they were using the business' logo without authorization, they were unable to provide any answers.

The scammer uses phished accounts to avoid being banned from the platform of Youtube.com. Said scammer uses the identity of a youtuber by the name of Mr Beast to legitemize their tactics and pays for adspace through hacked accounts. The ad gives you a sense of urgency with "this offer is only for a limited time" and then leaves a link in the description, which is cash1k.com

This type of scam has been going on for years now with no sign of any kind of measurements taken against it by Google or Youtube, which worries me since many vulnerable people can see these ads and be scammed out of their identities and money!

They got my personal number while pretending to be heavily interested in buying something from facebook marketplace and wanted to send me a 6 digit verification code to "verify my identity." When I refused and asked questions, they quit responding.

Received a call from someone says they were an Arbitrator for the Bank of Marion and were going to sue me for money owed on a credit card.  I don't do any business with that Bank.

Fake sweepstakes claiming that consumer won $1 million but they would have to pay $250 in vanilla debit/gift cards and give them the account number. They are targeting senior citizens.

I was called and told A T & T was partnering with Target to lower my monthly cost for TV Cable service. I needed to pay by either Target credit card or Target gift card. I had to buy a gift card for $500 and pay 4 months in advance then would get a monthly bill in the amount of $125/ month for 2 years for all the services I currently pay $225 for. After buying the gift card and supplying the scammer with the information I was called an hour later telling me the gift card was denied. They wanted me to buy another one. That was when I realized it was a scam but it was too late.

This is the second time I received a scam from this “open doors USA scam” I hung up before he could ask about money this time. It’s becoming a nuisance. Charitable organizations don’t call asking you to personally donate.

i receved text that my flight got cancelled. I looked up google and got phone number. I was told I have to pay extra now because prices are higher. i gave them credit card, when they sent me email i realized am not dealing with the airline. They called me and wanted ID or conference call with bank.I declined.( by accident I gave them debit card as it looked like my credit card. ) I called credit card and closed it. I changed my bank card, but got charged anyway. I went to bank to file a form.

The email explained that my annual service protection plan subscription with Geek Squad has been renewed and reactivated. The annual charge was $398.99. Gave a start and stop date ending Oct 5, 2023.

Offered if there were any transactional error in this receipt or you wish to cancel the subscription and get a full amount refunded back to call the toll free customer helpline. 1-877-821-1542

Lots of red flags.

First, I don't have a protection plan from Geek Squad. Second, I know that Geek Squad is part of Best Buy's programs. The email and contact is not what this email describes so they are phishing the Geek Squad program. The email came from a gmail account.

I have reported on scamtracker and deleted the email. In addition I have let Best Buy know.

I received an email from paypal saying i bought $600 worth of merchsndise. So i called the number to report that was not mine. So he said i had been hacked & told me i would have to take steps to recover. Then he would ask me to buy gift cards

A few days later i received an email saying they were going to reimburse me $50000. Then he would ask me to go buy more gift cards and if i didnt i wouldnt get the money.

Product prices are marked down more than 75%. Phone number listed on website does not work. There is no support email listed on website, no contact information is available for help. Placed order on website, after 3 weeks, an email is sent saying item is not in stock. Checked website again to verify, indicates item is in stock. Complete fraud, waste of time, website should be taken down immediately. It appears this website is setup solely to steal personal information as product ordered never arrived, no shipping or tracking information was provided.
