They said my home warranty had expired and it was the last chance I had to renew it for the next 3 years. They just need a deposit and that I could cancel in the next 30 days and get my deposit back. When I told them that I needed to talk to my husband about it they said I couldn’t call them back that I had to decide now and I could get my deposit back if I called before the 30 days. But the number they called me back doesn’t work. I call it and there is no dial tone it just sounds dead.

I received a email survey from Lowes at the end was offered a gift from the offending company of a in car camera . All I had to do was pay a small fee for it and the shipping which I believe came to about $17. That's how they got my credit card info. I think this was in August. Well in September my credit card was charged $63.17 . Then again in October and again in November. This is when I noticed the $63.17 charge and called the credit card company to dispute it and discovered what was going on. These people are crooks. They need to be held accountable for what they do . I have stopped the charges. My advice is don' t trust any adds any more.

received a call saying we needed to sign for a document coming from a roofing company (no company name given) for a refund check. it would come per FedEx. they gave no tracking number.

I contact the roofing company we used and I also contacted the local FedEx office and could not come up with anything.

I highly suspect this is some type of scam.

how would he know we had a check from a roofing company specifically? why didn't he give a tracking number?

I can't imagine what the motive would be they would get out of this?

no way am I signing and of course I would never pay to accept this.

we gave no information to them except that they have our phone number and address.

am hoping I don't have any problems getting rid of them after I refuse to sign

my mom took the call and of course this didn't come to mind right away, but we are now very suspicious.

Scammer wanted credit card number to give me a " seniors discount" . He was highly aggressive and agitated when I refused. He also had a British accent. I called and reported this to Spectrum. They told me it happens all the time.
