Received a phone call from Consumer Impact Recovery saying I had a payday loan from 2017 issued by VIP Loan Stop for $600.00 and due to fees was now $1600. I asked for documentation and would not provide any. I was told collection letters were sent which I never received. I don't recognize this debt. They said they were going to issue a garnishment but refused to provide any proof of debt. They have contacted various family members. I asked them to stop.

I received a voicemail that I need to call.i called and spoke with a Mr.Rivera he said I owe a payday loan ,I told him I don't he said a letter was sent to me I never got a letter. He called me from this number 785-641-1149

Saying I took out a payday loan on April 20 2020 when I didn’t. Apparently had my info but they could never provide me the proof of it even tho I’ve never took one out, they wouldn’t confirm in sending me an email or letter about this “debt”

I was contacted in July by a representative name Nicolas from the offices of first choice recovery telling me that I owe money to my cash now payday loan for a loan I had taken out in 2017 because I closed the bank that the funds were to be drawn out of. I felt it was a scam because I had never heard of the company, I had not lived in the state of Pa at the time he said I got the loan, plus I had never taken out a payday loan. But I got nervous when he rattled off the former bank, the last digits of my ss#, and former addresses. He began saying this would be a lawsuit against me and other court proceedings. I kept explaining to the guy that this could not be possible for all the reasons above, and he stated, " well, I have your signature here, " etc. I told him I would look into the matter and get back to him because when I asked if he could provide me documentation of said loan, he said no, that it would all be mailed to me once the settlement funds were received. I started researching the matter and found information on the ScamPulse.com website about people experiencing the same calls, if not similar to myself, just with different names of companies placing the calls. I knew then that it had been a scam. Now it's a month later, and I just received threatening calls from them again. Please help with this situation.

One from LAR mediations on 6/29

Stating payday loan from 2014 I owe 906 I said send me proof gave them my email address he literally sent email showing or proving nothing. I told him I looked his number and it is showing scam. He said that is what people say when they don’t want to pay there bills, then he called recently same sketch voice stating asset recovery and I just received a call from same loser. This is a scam don’t get freaked out and give this guy any info.

His name was David. Said it wasn’t a scam and that I was approved for loan of $8000. Had to text me back several times for info. I said email me but he never did.

They told me that it was a loan and they need my account number and routing number and social security number and my pictures of my license and I send it to them and it was a scams i am afraid that they could do alot with my identity they sold from my bank account acting like it was me they file 2 claim and when they bank but it as a temporary credit they withdraw it like if it was me please i need help with this what could I do

Madison Scott called me also telling me I took out a payday loan I didn’t. And also threatened that I would be sued for $4000 and charged with fraud. Also assuring me that they wanted to make sure someone didn’t steal my identity. When I started questioning her and asking for more information she then cut me off and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with someone else trying to get all the info they had on me. They were using the wrong name and didn’t have the correct address. When I called back a few times it went to a home voicemail or the person was extremely rude and hung up on me.

A lady calling from law office Brian Poe office saying I owed them from a payday loan that cannot he included in my bankruptcy in 2016. Told me she would put me on public record if I didn’t pay it. I paid it, but on the credit card statement it says Better Days Association. Which don’t know what that is

Very threatening voice mail left on my phone on 12-5-2022 using my former name not valid for 21 years. I returned the call, the first person hung up on me when I refused to validate my social security number. (They have my date of birth and the last 4 of my social.) I called for the 2nd time and got the answering recording. I called a 3rd time and got a live human who became obnoxious once again when I refused to validate my private info. He then proceeding to tell me it was from a payday loan in 2015. When I said I didn't take the loan out and in 2015 Niece was not my name, he argued with me saying it was. I requested documentation and he said I already had it. I said no and he told me that we would be speaking again soon and hung up. I reversed looked up the phone number used and there are multiple notes about people being called by this company and trying to coerce the same.

Called me from an American toll free number but a deeper search showed me Vietnam was the origin of the call. They were trying to collect a defaulted payday loan. Thing is, I have never taken out a payday loan before. Pretty obvious it’s a payday loan scam.

Got a call from a Melissa Young and Laura Stevens who told me I owe a debt of $1500.00 and I need to pay it today or they were going to call the District Attorney and have a warranty put out for my arrest. So, i call them, they told to me I need to pay and I told them, that I couldn't afford ot pay that kind of money. Melissa said they would settle for $600.00 dollars. As soon as I could I got 3 gift cards and put $200.00 each on them. Then I call Laura back and gave her the information on the cards.. They took the money off the cards immediately. They next day they call my job at Wal-mart and told me more charges came up and I had to pay it. My Brother-In-Law was at my job and told me that was a scam and to call the BBB. So I did! Thank goodness for the BBB, I probably would have got off more money to the scammers.

Received a call saying I took out a payday loan between 2010-2017. I request that they send information via email or mail.Then said that I used a prepaid card. I called the payday loan place and they ran my social and told me I have no file and they fill goes back to 2003. I also called there head quarter and nothing was found.they also asked me for $500 to settle the case.

they ask for my name and then for my claim number they give me a wild date when I took the loan and then that i am on for a court hearing. I check on the phone and it points this number as a scammer and not only this i have had a lot of numbers calling all questing debt collections and all scammers They send false paperwork and they continue calling after I had spoken to them and told them they where scammer according to my information they still continue to called.

They had called me saying that i owned over 2, 000 dollars to which i only owned someone 500 dollars which was a payday loan from back in 2010 or 2011 they are now just calling me saying to pay them the money, or other wise they will put out a warrant for me.. I kindly told them to stop calling me or and my family members and ect, ect. And for me to carry two forms of ID at all times. They scared me, and asked me all kind of info, I HOWEVER told them i am homeless and that i am more worried about me getting housing and off the streets, but they didn't care and never did care. When i call the number back, it goes straight to someone who answers i know normally when you call a debt person you go thru all kind of stuff, and NOBODY ANSWERS RIGHT AWAY... But this time when i called them it went straight so someone.... BUT they said i were to PAY i would have to GET A CREDIT CARD.........But i know this is probably a scam, and they were saying if i do not pay them the money i would get check fraud on a old DEBT..
