My 85 year old mother mistakenly answered a call from "Patrick Nelson" who supposedly works for a legal service that handles student loan forgiveness cases. The initial phone number they called from was (800)723-1674. My mother gave me the message and phone number to call him because he asked for me. I called the phone number and all I received was a message that this number cannot accept messages because it's full. Then the next day the same "company" called from a different number and another number the next day and so on. I asked my mother to follow the FTC instructions to not answer any calls from unfamiliar numbers. I also blocked several number from reaching our phones, but everyday they call from different numbers. I believe that all these scammers started calling me after I responded to an ad I saw on Facebook about loan forgiveness. It seems my information was sold to scammers and telemarketers that way.
