On Thursday, 4/2/26, I received a text message supposedly from the Municipal Court of the County of Philadelphia, notifying me of a court hearing (over a traffic parking ticket) on Friday, 4/3/26, at 9 AM, less than 24 hours’ notice. I scanned the QR code to pay the citation fine, which I discovered was $6.99. I attempted to pay that amount, using a Visa card, which was rejected as “declined.” That declination and the QR address, pa.jwhdy.shop, gave me pause as I realized the site from pa.jwhdy.shop was asking for another credit card and was likely a scam. I will attach the texted notice of hearing I received.
