Well this just happened and thankfully I looked it up

I just got the same text and I am wondering how many people receiving these texts are oral health professionals? I am registered with oral B as a oral health professional and I am wondering if they have a breach.

Same as others, but I like my response best.
Oral-B Scam

I received this offer and definitely will not be scammed. However, I can’t understand how the scammers make money. If they send you a bogus check and you deposit but do not touch the funds and the check bounces. It appears to me that you just never receive the promised money. I also am not understanding how the scammer is profiting from this as long as the victim never sends any of his own funds to the scammer. Usually scams involve a fee or some other means of extracting money from the victim with no benefit to the victim. Am I missing something in how this scam works? Thanks!

Bob Cabrera supposedly wants to pay me $500 a week to advertise for oral-b with a car wrap. Why can ppl call me that I don't even know and harass me on a phone I have to pay for?

Out of the blue I got a text from an email saying put an Oral-B decal on your bike, car or truck and get $500 WEEKLY, me being me figured it was a scam but went along with it, gave them my real address but a fake name "Ben Dover". after that I got a check in the mail for about $4600, they told me to keep $500 and hold on to the rest to have the decal printed and serviced and use it to pay the guy who would be doing it. Obviously I didn't cash it but told him I did. All that I could really do was waste some of his money on mailing the check and the mules time but still worth it. Things to know if you do this. (1) No real name, If you have a P.O. Box, its all the better (2) Don't Deposit the check, It will bounce and you will be holding the bag for the ENTIRE CHECK (that's how they make money on these) (3) The more time you waste of people like these, the less they are dealing with someone who would actually fall for a scam like this. (4) you could get law enforcement involved but usually they will only find the mule who claims it was a routine pickup and knows nothing. Good hunting all!

I got this text message today from this emailing address: [email protected]

It said that if they let them place over their Oral-B logo over our (as my family) vehicles, they’ll give us $500 a week with no extra conditions. However, personal information such as street address and ZIP code must be included.

I got a text, but the text is from "[email protected]" and included an image instead of text.
Had Oral-B logo and asked to reply w/ address, phone #, and vehicle type (bike, car, truck). Claimed advert could get $500 weekly, and promise of no damage to car with removal after contract expires.

I have to admit I feel for it. I just received a text today saying I would be receiving a check via USPS. From Phone number 1-330-977-8822
You will receive the Check Via USPS tracking # (9405503699300072106333). The check is for $4650.99, you are to deduct $500 for your first weekly wage and the rest is for the decal specialist that will call to arrange a meeting to fix the decal. Once the check has been delivered, kindly keep me posted for more instruction before depositing it in your bank account for proper clearance. Please let me know if you received the text. Thanks and God bless
Hope this helps

I want to add this before I forget if it sounds too good to be true probably is this is just an addition to but I submitted a minute ago concerning Oral B

I got the same text from Oral B. Will someone please tell me what happens if I cash the check? Thanks

If you deposit the check into your account it won’t clear and you’ll be responsible for the amount of the check. Now I don’t know what happens if you were to go to a check cashing place or say the bank or credit union where the check is drawn from im sure it’s fake and they would spot it right away. Whatever you do don’t deposit the check In your account it may clear at first but once it goes through the banking system you will be out the amount of the check.

Received a text saying they are Oral B and would I advertise on my bike, car or truck and get paid $500 weekly. Too good to be true - definitely a scam!

I thought it was too good to be true and I was right. I thought since it was Oral-B it might be legit, but no. I recieved the same texts as other people and then the check. I'm almost tempted to open a separate bank account and deposit that check to see what happens. They get every persistent once that check is mailed. Bob Cabrerra, then it's MingWu LLC, it's a scam!

Owner at that address is linked to a dentist in Florida.

Its a money laundering scam. They get your bank info when you deposit the check. They'll start sending checks or wires to your account regularly but the amount will increase. You'll agree to keep a small portion, and they'll have you wire the remaining funds to someone over seas or in the US. Generally it's sent to a random 3rd party name they've managed to use to open a fake bank accts. Seems harmless but it could be cartel, human trafficking or even child abuse rings. Better to get far far away.

I received a text message claiming to be from Bob Cabrera, Oral B's Campaign Manager, asking if I wanted to participate in advertising for their company, by having my vehicle "wrapped" as a mobile billboard. The offer was to pay me $500 a week, with free installation and removal of the wrap at the end of the contract. A link was included to apply https://wp.me/PcCDle-5 and I filled out the form with basic information, Name address phone number and email, vehicle type, and received another text the next day saying I was accepted... the initial phone # for the 1rst text was 864.270.9536, the followup text was from phone # 330.977.8822 asking if I was still interested, to which I replied I was. 3 days later I received 2 USPS priority mailers, each with only a cashiers check from Eastern Bank, for $4,550.99, no other information. I then received another text with tracking information, for the check they were sending, and instructions to deposit it, withdraw $500 for my 1rst weeks fee, and reply back, and got a 3rd check for the same amount of $4,550.99...now I knew this was a scam, having researched it online, apparently a common one. I never deposited any of the checks, and just want everyone to know, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!

I got the text just like everyone else and I'd admit I was fooled and actually submitted the application. I was actually going back and forth with this Bob guy that is apparently the manager. I've always heard that people get paid to advertise so I tried my luck but something told me to do some research which I did and look what I found here. Immediately just told the guy that I have changed my mind.

Same text message as everyone else received, going use my past private investigator experience to see if I track them and get them arrested.
