I work at a church and she Susan offered us this piano. She said she’s in Oklahoma. I found someone who could take it and then tried to get a phone number so I could pass her off to someone else. Received an email that was similar to the first and insisted email contact. One reverse image search later and discovered it was a scam.

Thanks for your response, the Yamaha Baby Grand Piano GC1 model used to be owned and played by my husband who passed away last year, the dimension is "151cm by 146cm". It was last tuned sometime last year before he passed. She's about 2 years old and in impeccable condition.

I'm moving my properties to another place and I don't think my husband will be happy if I sell this piano, at the same time, I am settling for a home with less space, so I'm hoping to give it out to someone who is a passionate lover of the instrument. I wasn't going to leave it alone in an empty house.

The Piano is currently in storage with the movers I employed to move my properties from my house. The movers can deliver anywhere. However, the beneficiary has to pay moving costs. In the attachment are the pictures of the Piano, I look forward to your reply if you are interested, if not I can contact someone else.

Regards,
Susan.

was contacted by [email protected] with an offer of a Yamaha baby grand. I work in college admissions so this felt like a weird offer, but I considered forwarding it to the School of Music. A quick google search brought me here, it looks like Susan has a lot of dead husbands and a lot of pianos to give away.

Initial contact email sent to our church offering a free piano from Susan Hartley <[email protected]> owned by recently deceased husband. Told to contact shipping company (Classis Wings Movers; [email protected]) to arrange move and provided reference number. Moving company responded with details and cost and asking for payment via Zelle, Bitcoin or bank wire transfer. Found similar scams while doing research. This company and the Susan Hartley have my name, address and phone number. No money was sent.</[email protected]>
