I ordered 2 birth certificate, one from Il one from Iowa. The Vital records birth certificate in IL was received. The vital records in Iowa was not received. My cc was charged $42.00 with no Iowa birth certificate received. I would not have ordered had I known Iowa vital records was in Spain as appears on cc, but the Iowa online merchant presented itself as Vital Records. Bogus Spain merchant.

Online Vital US implies that you are filling out an online application to receive a birth certificate in the state you request. They collect $49 and, only if you read all the fine print and read the three follow-up emails, you are supposed to print out the "mistake-free application" they "reviewed" and send it to the state along with a check for whatever that state's fee is. In other words, they're charging you to do what you have to do yourself anyway! It is a scam. We waited 12 weeks and then checked the state's website to see it should have arrived within 8 weeks. We did more digging and realized we'd been scammed. We didn't print out the application from the 3rd email so of course we never applied for a birth certificate!!

Tried to order the forms for a copy of my birth certificate and paid the $49 fee, before finding that I could get the forms for free and before reading this scam report site. I never got the forms, nor a reply to several emails and a request for refund. I reported them to the Florida FTC, and contacted my bank to challenge the charge from them. This morning I found the rebate on my bank account from them.

I did the same thing, I ordered January 23, reported to my Bank February and got a refund. Today March 17, 2022, I see I was charged the 49.00 and called the bank claim department and was told the merchant provided receipts proving they sent me my copy. I never saw a thing from Badalona. My bank said to contact the company. Badalona didn’t provide a phone number. I got scammed for 49.00 also.
