Online Retailer Scam - Temporary Vehicle Plates Reports & Reviews (1)

- Old Bridge, NJ, USA

I bought a car that was impounded due to title issues. I used this service which promised to send a temp plate and registration so I can get the car out from the police station. I when to the police station and they ran the temp tag and told me it was coming up as another vehicle. GMC to be exact and not registered to me. I contacted the company US plates and told them and they said to wait 24 hours and it will be updated. I went back the next day and tried again. The police ran it and said it’s still not coming up as my name or car and also let me know that I was definitely scammed because a car entered into the motor vehicle dmv system would of came up right away. I had to go to a live dealer and pay again to get my car out. So it cost me more for the second service which was legit and as the police said once the dealer registered the car it came up. Also my car had to sit an extra day in impound which cost me more. Once again I contacted the company and was ignored and then finally I emailed and got a response where they promised to refund me. I also put a dispute with my credit card company. A month later the charge reappeared and the company provided the same false document to my bank, stating they did give me what I paid for. I had a conversation and tried to resolve with the company once more and again they promised to refund me if I provided a document that the case was closed and I did and then they said they would not refund me because my bank took a 15 dollar charge and 250 charge which is a lie that I confirmed with my bank. My bank never charged them anything.
