When purchasing a puppy from this breeder, the first text received was the following:

Below is our Cashier’s Zelle account details you will be making payment to;

Zelle Pay Email: [email protected]

Name: Ilya Belous

Amount: $300

Memo: FOR STELLA

Please where you see Memo or Reason just write the name “STELLA” and take a screenshot of the payment sent and send it to us for confirmation.

After this step was satisfied, he did not fulfill setting up a pickup appointment and instead wanted us to let him ship her to us. We live 1.5 hour trip away from him.

He then has not answered our calls or responded to texts. He has our $300 deposit and we don't have our puppy or even the opportunity to go pick her up.

Our other son who lives in Tampa went to the address provided and found that the person who answered says there are no puppies there and that we have been scammed.

Website is selling puppies. Bought a puppy paid for it as well as shipping. Never received the puppy

- Sacramento, CA, USA • Jun 03, 2023

I reached out to the scammer and inquired about a puppy for sale. He goes by the name of James and he provides his Zelle account information as ([email protected]). He said he would ship the puppy to me since I lived in another state. I paid a partial payment of $500 and then looked into it more and realized it was a scam. The website was just created this year, all of the puppies on the website are very different and no way they are from the same litter. The pictures also all have different backgrounds. I contacted him and requested a refund. He said he would but never did. He also said the puppy would not be in cargo and a company nanny would be with the puppy on the plane and the puppy would be delivered to our house, all for $150. That’s not even enough for 1 plane ticket.

I found the website for puppies for sale. I reached out, he sent pictures and information. He goes by the name of Charles Harrison. He said the puppies were so cheap because they had another litter on the way and him and his wife had full time jobs so they needed to find these puppies homes before then. Since I lived in another state, he said he would ship the puppy to me by a pet travel company and he would be in the cabin of the plane. That was only $200. He also asked for my home address so the puppy could be delivered to my home. I looked into it more and his site had been marked as a scam in 2020 so I did not send him the money.

I was looking to purchase a Samoyed puppy. I performed a Google search and came across the Haven Homes Samoyed Puppies website at https://havenhomesamoyedpuppies.com. I inquired about available samoyed puppies. I was contacted via email by the sales manager Joseph Sanders using the email [email protected]. we discussed the available puppies and he told me the puppy would be 800 dollars. The reason for the price was due to an upcoming litter. He also stated he could ship the puppy via reliable pet transportation agency for 200 dollars. I was unable to find any pet transportation for that low of a price. He then proceeded to ask for a 500 dollar deposit for the puppy and that I would need to pay the remainder of the 500 dollars once the puppy was delivered. He provided me his financial cashier's Zelle account information for a Kierra Stevenson using the email [email protected] for the Zelle payment information. Usually a phone number is provided for Zelle transactions. We attempted to Zelle 500 dollars but our bank denied it due to the transaction being flagged as fraud. I then told Joseph about this issue. I asked if he could provide phone number but instead he provided his daughter Amanda Capino's Zelle account information using email [email protected] so I could send the 500 dollars. I did not respond and he sent another email with Zelle account information for a Britney Boyd using the email [email protected]. At that point I did not feel comfortable continuing and I did not respond to any emails moving forward. Please do not make the same mistake as this company is fraudulent. There was no phone number or address provided on the website.

Hi, I believe I fell victim to a scam. The website I went to was newdawngermanshepherds.com, and the guy's name is Stephen Craig.

They had me send a security deposit ($500) through Zelle to "Latoya Gomez". Then when it came time to send the full payment, they wanted me to send it to "Dejuan Sims". When I tried to send it to the phone number I was given, it said there was a problem with that number. They gave me a different name "Thomas Saadeh" with an email address. My bank blocked it. I called them and they said it felt like a scam.

When I asked Stephen for my $500 deposit back, he tried to say my bank was defaming his website. He told me I could purchase Visa gift cards and send him pictures of the back of the cards so they can get the information. I told him I'm not sending him anything else. He said if I say he is scamming me one more time, I'll be hearing from his lawyer. He said he is not giving me my $500 back. I told him that he has to live with the fact that he stole/robbed from a single mom of three boys (their dad passed away in August).

I saw instagram puppies for adoption send me documentation and information regarding puppy pay $300 from my account and $100 from my daughter’s account puppy was supposed to be delivered the following day since after I did drive thru advice of having an emergency

Familybullies.us is trying to sell pit bulls that they do not have. They have taken photos from reputable bully breeders and have used them on their own website. Do not agree to sending these people money, you will get ripped off. Beware!!

I found their website online and inquired about one of the dogs. They said I could come pick up the dog from their home but had to reserve the dog first if I Zelle’s them $500 then pay the remaining $400 on-site. They did not send the address until I sent them the $500. When I told them I wasn’t able to come and asked if they could ship the dog they stated if I sent them $610 additional they could have the dog shipped to me. The Zelle email and name they gave me was completely different from the first one. Both emails were a mix of letters and numbers. When I asked about this they said they have a limit to what they can accept and sent me their daughters Zelle account. Both accounts are now inactive on Zelle. When I stated I was no longer interested and to refund the original $500 they stopped responding. I checked the website and it still shows the dog I ordered is still only 11 weeks old and available. It has shown this litter is 11 weeks old for 2 months.

Says has teacup poodles for $700. Does not have any. Pay half up front and other half when you receive pup, but says his Zelle isn’t working right so needs the other half now.

- Apollo Beach, FL, USA

The scammer want you to pre enter money so they can take it for the dog. They they want you to pay 5000 extra they are trying to get. First I paid for the dog. Second the pretended to be the shipping company and I had to pay 1000 for a dog crate, then I had to pay 1000 for insurance, then them wanted me to pay for Quarantine measures of 2600. Total SCAMMERS

Scammer used Craig’s List to sell a puppy. We were asked to put a deposit down for $100. Have been texting to find out if we are still meeting and had no response. Then I called. Phone was “no longer in use”.

- Boynton Beach, FL, USA

I found them on Facebook Marketplace, looking for a puppy. I spoke with the "breeder" on the phone, and even facetimed and saw the puppy. I sent a deposit and then additional money for pet insurance. The day i was supposed to get her, he sent me tracking info for the flight through a puppy carrier service. As the day progressed he kept asking for more money. I never paid them more, nor did I get the dog.

- Saint Johns, FL, USA

similar to one I read about. Pictures received. contacted through email and by text. No way of seeing pup in person. No way of paying in a way that you can cancel.

- Port Richey, FL, USA

It was a transportation service for a dog we bought and never received because they kept on tacking on additional fees,we became leary

I found them through a website search. I used their site to contact them initially through email and then they started texting me. They offered me several options of puppies and started discussing payment and transportation. They were insisting on using Zelle as a form of payment, which was fine. What started my alarm bills going off was in our text communication they seemed foreign based on their sentence structure and verbiage. That made me start looking into them and I saw other folks were scammed by them. I stopped all communication so I did not lose any money thank goodness.

We bought two puppies from an on line vendor in NC including $250 for shipping. Puppies were to be shipped and at my house hours later that day. Instead, I get an email from Instant Pet Transport Service stating I had to pay for crate rental before they could proceed; they took Apple Pay or BitCoin which I do not have. They decided they could take gift cards which I purchased from Publix, took pictures of the cards and texted to them. They cashed them as payment. Hours later they needed insurance money, then capability money since I complained about the additional expense. Then stamp money. Same process with the gift certificates. Too much time has passed so the rental expired, then the insurance and they still have the puppies. Asking for payment again for all of the above with the promise that it is fully refundable. At this point we have spent $8,500. Beyond foolish I know but in the heat of the moment "if we get the money right now we can proceed with shipping".... Their web site's only contact is to leave your email info and what you are looking for. No phone numbers, or address. They have a tracking system for your order so it looks really legitimate. This whole time we really wanted those two puppies and that was our goal. I am embarrassed and ashamed of myself; I know better but fell for this anyway. No way to get the money back or to replace it in our life! Several conversations I had saying this feels like a scam, "no Ma'm, I am a Christian." We have been in business for years. Of course they would deny its a scam. I told him that we would not pay anymore money so his response is he would tell the authorities that we abandoned our puppies.

I found Milo Dachshund Breeder through an Advertisement link on googles first page. I proceeded to communicate with the “company” to see about getting a puppy through them. Both my wife and myself were very happy with the pictures available but my wife was skeptical. In order to move forward with process of the arrangement of shipping I ended up giving them our full names, address and my phone number. The first bit of worry and confusion came when my wife sent me a picture, it was the same picture as the puppy in question we were planning to purchase but it was a picture on the Etsy website. I asked the “breeder” about the picture and they said they beginning to get uncomfortable via the text thread that had started at that point but proceeded to say we can pick up the puppy. Since we were uncomfortable with the travel I said we could come to pick her up. At that point I had searched the site as a scam and uncovered it was. But to confirm my suspicions I played a long for a bit. They then proceeded to say that if we pick her up they would need a $500 deposit to hold her for us. At this point I was just very upset because I had given them my information… luckily it wasn’t any banking information so hopefully no money loss but it could still be used against me…I am a bit worried. That being said if the person that does have the cream dachshund from the site I envy you because she’s a cutie. The name they’d given her was Lola.

I found Companion Pugs Farm (https://companionpugsfarm.com) online and began communicating with the seller, Thomas Elden - (417) 847-0061, via text and email ([email protected]) regarding a 3 month old female Pug named Breena. After communicating and discussions, came to an agreement to buy Breena for $800 + $200 transportation from Beachlane Shipping Group (https://beachlaneshippinggroup.com). Thomas said I needed to pay $500 to hold and get the transportation set up, which was completed on 9/29/22 via zelle to his wife's zelle ([email protected]). I received an email from Beachlane Shipping Group that began making me wonder the validity of this as it was extremely unprofessional in its delivery and information.

After sharing my concerns with the seller Thomas, he assured me many times via text that they use this company many times and I had nothing to worry about. The total balance was sent via Zelle on 9/30/22 for $500 and was told I would have Breena at my house Saturday by 5pm (10/1/22). On 10/1/22 in the morning I received a call (supposedly) from Beachlane that my dog was in their custody, however, I needed to send an additional $1,500 that was refundable for "insurance" before they would send her, and needed to send to Zelle account [email protected], Named Lamine Diagne. I told him on the phone I was being scammed to which they immediately hungup. The phone number was 513.973.4587 (Hamilton, OH) which is same number on their website.

I tried calling Thomas Elden, seller, right after and they have never answered or responded to texts, to which I said I was reporting their scam.

I said it was the fact that my family was prepping for and excited about receiving our new family pet and wanted the money back and would move on, however, with no replies, I want to make sure this doesn't happen to additional families and children.

They are offering puppies, but you must pay a $200 Google Pay or PayPal deposit to hold them. Then you are able to look at them. We placed a listing describing our experience and were contacted by others that were scammed by them. The were advertising English Bulldogs, but other people had contacted them inquiring about other breeds they had listed.

Here was our CL ad about their scams.
