Offering a job without details
“Hello, my name is Colin. I saw your job application information from Excel Personnel Recruitment Agency Canada and heard that you are interested in my job. Sarah Ann gave me your phone number to contact you.”
I requested information and he replied: “Jakt is an international application software company where app developers publish their apps on the Jakt Workbench. What we need to do is optimize the apps on a daily basis in order to increase traffic (visits) and downloads in order to get higher rankings in the main app shops (similar to Google Play and the App Store), where the app developers pay us a salary.”
“Our job role is that of a data transmitter. Our task is to optimize the app on a daily basis and upload real data to increase traffic (number of visits), downloads, and positive reviews so that the app gets a higher ranking in the Google Store and App Store. App developers pay us accordingly.”
It also indicated that it was 10hour per day job.
He told me that he was from Toronto, but in the UK these days. I offered to have a chat today early considering that he is in the UK, but he told me that the office started to work at 10:00 East time Canada. (?) So, we scheduled the chat for today at 10:00 East time Canada, but he never called me.
There were too many red flags from the beginning, but I wanted to know more about this possible scam.
Half an hour after the scheduled meeting he sent me a message by chat inviting me to log into the webpage https://online-bestbyjakt.com and use the invite code: 79503354

My profits have been frozen with the excuse I did not have the level to make a complete withdrawal. So, I had to add about $5000 USDC in total to reach the level of being able to withdraw more than $3000 USDC and have a smaller chance of getting a super order. They promised me that I was going to be able to withdraw this amount this morning and when I tried the platform did not allow me. I requested a refund, but they said it was not possible, they were not authorized to do that and the only solution was to keep working on that and in the end, I would be able to withdraw all my funds. Consequently, I finished my tasks with the only hope I could receive finally my money.
I reached the negative amount and to receive my money, I need to add more funds to my wallet.
This company recently changed of platform with the excuse of an update of the system.
I am an international student and from my perspective, this looked legit at first time but it escalated to this point.
