I called a chimney company from the internet to fix my flue. They said the service call was $65 but that would be applied to the service. The man came out in a jeep, looked in the chimney and told me it would be about 7000 since I had cracks in something and to clean and fix the flue. He said who ever did the work back when I bought the house didn't do what they said they did. It's not safe with the way it is. I knew I paid $5500 back when I bought the house for the repair then and so I figured maybe the prices went up? He left and came back, not sure where he went. Another Mexican man came in a track to help him. They were on the roof doing something, I heard a loud machine that was possibly the cleaning brush, he painted white onto the outside of the top of the chimney, he added a cable to the flue so I could pull it easier. ( it was easier to pull but now it doesn't close.) I could confirm what he did unless I got up on the roof and knew what I was looking at.

He told me it would be 9000! I asked why he said 7000 and now 9000.

I am so upset, I don't know why I paid him! I didn't ask for a license number or contract? I can't sleep, I must have been in a fog since I had been evacuated from the fires and was wanting to get my house in working order? I don't know. I asked for him to take a video of what he did since I can't see. He used his phone and showed me something, but I didn't still know what I was looking at?

Please help me.

I paid with a check and just tried to assume it must have been warranted. Now as I realize I need to find out if this was valid, I look back. This company I called was Chimney Pro, the guy said to make the check out to Elite Air Group Inc. I went to call and ask some questions and the company name is now Olympus Chimney Pro. They don't have a license number? He sent me a text as my invoice back on 3/9/25. It has the address I noted in this report, but the website has no address? Why the different company names? The text he sent me is from a number 818 644-3105, the invoice has the same number on it, but I called originally was 888 958-7618. I see the Olympus Chimney Pro has a Facebook account but I can't access the whole page since I do not have Facebook, but what I could see I took a picture of. The comments are from people scammed too. All their writing is in a foreign language? Their address on the website has no address, it has "Olympus Chimney Pro, Rd, Kanjur 56765" No city or state on a website? The website says Altadena everywhere so I thought they were local.

I need help getting my money back, please.

I searched online for a chimney cleaning company and found Olympus Chimney Pro, and called to make an appointment. The person who answered scheduled a tech for the following day. The next morning I called to reschedule and the person who picked up said that was no problem. Seems nobody told the chimney tech as he tried to call on his way and I had to tell him it had been rescheduled. Today when he finally arrived, it was during the time period for the previous day - not the time period I rescheduled to. He looked up the chimney with a flashlight and said it would be $500. We had just had the chimney cleaned by another company 6 months prior and it was only $160 so I told him I would give him no more than $200. He spent the next 30 minutes or less vacuuming and sticking a brush up the chimney and then told me to get rid of the creosote buildup I should “throw water on it” and scrub it with a metal brush. I asked for a receipt for the cash I paid. He asked if I could do Venmo or Zelle and I said no. The receipt has an “invoice” from Air Solutions Experts, not the company I had called. The address listed on the invoice for this company is an apartment building according to Google Maps.
