I booked a house to rent in Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Surfside Beach, SC from a website that ended up being a scam. The website they used looks very similar to the website from Ocean Lakes. The person I was emailing with said their name was Sandra Harrington and that she was a realtor for Ocean Lakes rentals. I paid for the rental and then tried to get ahold of her as it became closer to the day we were supposed to go on vacation and couldn’t get a response. I called the number on the invoice and never heard anything back. I called the actual Ocean Lakes campground and was told I didn’t have a reservation and that the “realtor” I was talking to wasn’t one of their realtors or home owners.
