- Broomfield, CO, USA

The caller introduced himself as Josh from the "customer service department" and asked if I could hear him alright. I said yes, but quickly remembered hearing about a "say yes scam". I hung up without further conversation. He said I had been "preselected for an all-inclusive vacation". After some research it was suggested to file a claim with the ScamPulse.com to be safe.

- Aurora, CO, USA

Caller starts call saying "This is Josh from Customer Service, can you hear me" I accidentally said yes, then it said I was personally selected to take part in a giveaway, after which I hung up. Then I called back and the message for the phone number that called says "The survey is no longer open."

- Denver, CO, USA

Received a phone call from a man who asked if I could hear him okay and once I said yes he began offering free Disney trips. I immediately hung up after that.

Called to say he was from Customer service. Asked if I could hear him. Stupidly I said yes. He then went on to tell me about the great vacation I had won. When I responded to a couple more questions with "no", he said I didn't qualify

- Aurora, CO, USA

Called me and asked me if "I could hear them" and I said "yes."

Then proceeded to say I stayed at one of their resorts. Once I knew it was a scam, I hung up.

- Arvada, CO, USA

I've received this call 3 times in the last couple weeks on my landline. When I answer "hello," There is a pause, then a laughing lady says, "Oh......I'm sorry............can you hear me now?" Do Not response in any way to this call! Hang up and block it on your phone! Articles I have read recently say these scammers are looking for you to say "yes" to their questions and will record it and use it to obtain stuff in your name with your personal information? What will they think of next?

- Chicago, IL, USA

Female Scammer called and asked, are you there? One responded yes, who's this? Female then related she's having an issue with her headset and then related information about vacation resorts. One hung up phone call.

- Castle Rock, CO, USA

I received a phone call from this "303" number. Since it was local, I answered. The caller seemed to fumble with their phone, said something about "trouble with my headset" and proceeded to ask if I could hear her.

- Denver, CO, USA

This was one of the robocalls that pretends to be having trouble with her headset and then claims I stayed at one of their resorts. I have gotten this call at least four or five times, all from different numbers and usually with the same area code as me, which makes me more likely to answer.

Person asks if you can hear them to elicit a "Yes" that can be recorded and used for other things

"Can you hear me?" scam

- Westminster, CO, USA

Said "hello". The voice on the other end said"hello" i said "yes" and then the voice laughed and said"sorry, having trouble with my headset". The voice then turned into a more robot voice and started offering me a vacation at one of the resorts that I've stayed at. Then asked if it was OK for me to talk to an team person to give me more info, that's when I hang up.

- Denver, CO, USA

They said my name and I said yes and as soon as I realized what I did I hung up. I called the number back and of course it was disconnected. I was so mad at myself-just one of those times they caught me-I've been more careful recently. I've heard about them recording "yes".

Caller asked, do you hear me, are you there?

- Lone Tree, CO, USA

Received a call at 2:28 pm on 1/31/17 from 720-639-7737, from the customer service department and then it asked "Can you hear me"? I answered OK (not yes) and then it talked about free vacations and I hanged up. Voice quality was very good, clear, sounded like a real person not recording.

I got a call asking if I was the business owner. I said "yes", then remembered hearing of a scam where they record your "yes" then use it to order products or services.

"Is this "my name". I answered "yes"

- Englewood, CO, USA

Automated voice "Josh from customer service" asked "Can you hear me?"; I said "yes", and as soon as I realized it was an automated voice I said "no thank you" and hung up; I know of no losses of money at this time, but I don't know if I will

Asked can you hear me?

- Littleton, CO, USA

When I answered the phone he said Can you hear me now. I said yes and he hung . I just found out this was a scam on TV. So I just got scammed by saying yes.
