This person established profile in an online dating program named as OkCupid. He presented himself in a very professional way and claimed he was living in Denver, CO and going to relocate to NY/NJ. He even sent flowers to me before we met. Later on, he claimed he had a business trip in Singapore and Malaysia. A few days later he said he run out of cash and ask me to wire transfer $1500 to Malaysia. The whole process is very deliberated and very sneak. Before I agreed to send the money, I requested his living address in USA and picture of his ID such as driver license or passport. But the property at the address he provided is owned by somebody else and he never provided me this photo IDs. Further, he booked an air trip to fly to me and sent the flight confirmation. But when I verified the flight information with the airline company, it turned out the flight was cancelled within 24 hours after he booked. So he sent me the flight confirmation to pretend that he would visit me.

I received a call from an Indian man that said he was with the u.s. treasury and when I asked for his I'd number and for someone to verify it, he hung up. I also have a message on my phone from him threatening me with legal recourse.

I received a robo-call at 1:15 on May 9th, threatening multiple legal actions because of payments in arrears. Knowing this was not accurate, I called the number to see what organization was trying to scam us. The number was 707.216.0582. It was answered by 'Officer Edward Maxwell' of the IRS. I asked the reason for the call. He asked for my SSN, and I said no. He hung up. Please spread this information.

Someone keeps calling me from this number: 888-005-0216. They say they are from the ScamPulse.com or business bureau. They keep asking if our company is moving cause they want to send us some free info on moving. I've asked them to stop calling. It sounds like a call center - people with accents and lots of background noise. The last time someone called he hung up on me mid sentence trying to tell him we are not moving and could they please stop calling us. I think someone is pretending to be the BBB. When I try to call the number back, I get a message that the number I am calling is temporarily unavailable. I did a google search and can't figure out who the number belongs to.

I purchased online computer support from them over a year ago...they started calling me relentlessly for the last few weeks. I finally listened to what they wanted...they said that per the ScamPulse.com they were no longer able to service computers in the US and that they needed to refund my $299. They had me log onto my laptop that they were "servicing", they were downloading some software that would allow the refund to occur...I stupidly allowed them into my checking account, they kept entering $2500 and when I asked them why that amount they said that I would need to return the $2300 (the difference) back to them...I told them that was BS and shut everything down. They got very defensive and hung up...I keep checking my checking account for any activity since this occurred last...nothing at this point. I am afraid of them having access to my account.

On Apartment Finders, there is a rental for a house and the phone number is also attached to several different rental websites, for different homes/apartments in different states. The person will only communicate through text and email. They emailed me an "application" for the home which states that him and his family have recently moved out of town and they are putting there house in Colorado up for rent. They said that I cannot view the house until after I pay my deposit and first months rent...

Received a call today 3/14/16 @ 7:45 a.m. with a recorded message. "This is the IRS and we are filing a suit against you. You may reply to this message by dialing 312-878-9013" This was the same number showing in the caller ID. I could not report it at that time because I was getting ready to take my husband to an early doctor's appointment and did not have the time.

This is the first IRS call we have had but we had a call recently, which I reported, which was supposedly from Microsoft saying that my computer was badly infected and could crash any minute. This was a real person calling but I hung up knowing it was a scam.

I am a senior citizen and am leary of any number I don't recognize. I never conduct business over the phone with anyone I don't kno.

An automated message let me know that my credit card wanted to reduce my interest rate but that the offer was expiring soon. I had to push #1 to have my interest rate reduced and then a live person came on the line and told me that I qualified to have my interested lowered to 6.99% and that it was currently over 10%. The person was unable to tell me exactly which credit card I was being notified about and kept it very broad... "you have a Visa credit card, right mam?" The individual asked me for the expiration date on my Visa card and that he was going to pull up my card information. I said, I don't know which card you are calling about and he rambled off something about Visa, Wells Fargo, Bank of America... He couldn't tell me exactly so I hung up.

I was looking to rent a home in the Colorado Springs/Castle Rock area. On 3/3/16 this week I did a search on Craigslist - Rental - apartments/homes the search provided the address of 3835 Aspen Hollow Ct, Castle Rock, CO 80104. On 3/4/16 I went back to Craigslist and the listing had been closed/removed/deleted. on 3/5/16 I then received a text from Pastor Sias the number he used was 502.208.9299. He stated that this is his home, that he would like to rent it out for $1000 a month with all utilities included. He stated that this would be enough to take the house off the market and stop any other offers.

I asked why was he renting out such a beautiful home. He stated that he is a Pastor and his wife to Texas. He stated that once you visit the home and it you like what you see we will make arrangements for you to get inside of the home. He was upfront about a Agent contact sign in front of the house, don't worry about that....The Agent was charging to much in fees so that is why we (wife) placed the house on Craigslist. He emailed me from [email protected]; in that email he said to contact him at 305.209.8297 once I was able to review the interior of the house. I reminded him that if everything was good he want $1000 to stop any other offers and get the keys etc from the Agent. How could the Agent have the keys etc if you terminated your contact with them.

He stated that he wanted to rent the home out for 4 years. He asked if I was a Christian I told him yes and wanted to know what that had to do with anything. He said he just wanted to know.

At the bottom of his email it is signed James Harris Family.

Sias or whatever his name had a Korean/Asian accent which was very heavy and hard to understand. I texted/emailed him on 3/5/16 asking how can I verify he is the legal owner of the property. No response. I texted him and asked what church was he affiliated with in Colorado again NO response. What was the church name in Texas.

I was unable to upload the pictures of the house. if I get time this weekend I will drive back up to get the name of the realty company off the sign.

Received two calls on 3/3/2016 from someone identifying himself as a windows rep - stating that my computer was infected with a virus and subject to crash at any moment. First call 10:56 am, answered by husband, the non computer user. Because of the suspicious caller ID number, he quickly ended the conversation as we were leaving for an appointment. Later in the day, 5:36 pm, the very same person I am sure, called a second time and I took the call. I let him talk - "saying that my computer was highly infected and could crash at any moment but he could help me fix it." He then asked if the computer was on. At that point I was highly suspicious and told him that if my computer had a problem I would take it to someone "I knew" to correct the problem and that I did not do business with people I do not know and hung up. The man had a strong accent and there was background noise suggesting a call center. The number on caller ID both times was - Not Available and 158-4163. My computer and much more were truly in jeopardy had I been gullible. I am approaching my 79th year and I really resent all scams but particularly those with senior citizens!

Phone calls and leaves message from a New York phone number. Says

"This is the IRS. The Internal Revenue ServiceS We are filing a lawsuit against you. Call us at (347) 903-7914"

A recording says that IRS has a law suit against me and asked me to call 202-415-4507. The phone number on caller ID is 303-726-0410.

I did not answer the multiple calls a day for several days, but they left a voice mail yesterday (20-Jan-2016).

I will also contact Federal Trade Commission.

Thank you.

We received the following call on January 20, 2016.

Voicemail from (202) 415-4507

"Don't notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number 202-415-4507. I repeat 202-415-4507. Thank you."

Received a phone call from US Treasury. They said if we ignored their call we would risk appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal offense. They said to call the number (703)595-2597 to find out our case number and to speak to a federal agent. This call was on Thursday, January 14, 2016.

A call comes from Kirkland WA 425-296-1181 telling that the IRS is suing and this is the final notice. They do not respect the "do not call" request, but have repeated calls.

Almost simultaneously a call came on my cell phone from 303-819-0903 that says my credit rating is in danger and to call this number. Phoning that number to put myself on their "do not call list" got the response that she was an innocent Verizon customer and her phone number was being used illegally.

People in Las Vegas are using Craig's list to scam people out of short term rental fees. They are using legitimate rental properties pictures and getting people to send them the fees upfront and then when the renters show up,

they find the address' phony and or no real rental agreement in place. They use the terms cats are OK - purrr

dogs are OK - wooof have a better than usual rate and insist on a bank transfer including the deposit. I was scammed and have the names and bank acct info they used. And have since talked with the actual property owner

and informed her of the issue. She found other properties of hers being used in the scam also.

I received an email stating that my business had won the "best of..." award. After researching, I see that this is a scam.
