This caller is trying to collect debit/credit card numbers. They claim that you have won a gift card. The amount of the gift card kept changing throughout the call.

Three men came to my apartment building. They buzzed my apartment at the front door, and I did not respond. I assume someone else let them in. About 20 minutes later they knocked at my door. The conversation was as follows:

Me: "Who is it?"

Them: "We are here to talk to you about your ComEd bill."

At this point I open the door but only a small amount. There are three men. None is wearing a uniform. One is wearing a badge attached to his belt, but I cannot see it. The man closest to the door has a ComEd bill in his hands.

Man: "We want to take a look at your bill to see if you are being charged an unnecessary amount. You may be being charged an additional $7 a month. Do you have a letter like this?

Me: "No. I do it all electronically."

Man: "That's fine, you can pull it up on your phone."

Me: "I'm not doing that. Do you have any ID? Do you have a business card?"

Man: "No, we don't, but I can write down my phone number for you."

Me: "Okay."

Man: "Do you have a piece of paper I can use?"

Me: "No."

Man: "Okay, well...come on let's go."

At this point, the men turn to walk away, and I close the door.

We wasted as much time as we could. He tried to get my husband to visit his website because they had detected an issue with our computer. After about 17 minutes of trying to walk my husband through visiting the site he told him to unplug the cables on his computer and shove them up his [censored]. BTW my husband is a legitimate IT guy and when he gets these calls he lives effing with them!

I did not answer the call. Voice mail was left stating my tax filing from headquarters was due. Account was past due and I had 24 hours to take care of it or I would be arrested by the local cops etc etc etc. Number to reach us is 713-304-9313 & to call them to take care of it.

I received a phone call from an unknown company. When I answered they did not give their name. They were informing me my car warranty had expired. I knew that already however asked for information. I asked for what vehicle since I have a few. They said I needed to give them this information. I told them since they called me they should have this information. The woman on the phone had an Indian accent and there was conversations in the back ground which were very noisy. I then hung up.

- Kutztown, PA, USA

I received calls multiple times a day for weeks about my car insurance. The recorded message asked if I wanted to speak to someone about renewing my warranty. I always hung up, but eventually the calls got so annoying that I finally said 'yes' in order to speak to a representative and tell me to get me off of their call list. Lo and behold, the moment I say 'yes', they hang up. Now they have a recording of me giving confirmation to whatever they want to sign me up for.

- Gulf Breeze, FL, USA

Got a phone call stating that if I did not call back in 24 working hours that I would be taken into custody by the local authorities. I am not sure what they want to do with me calling back, but I am 100% sure this is a scam of some sort.

- Lakeport, CA, USA

they called my cellphone number and left a voicemail stating that if I didn't respond within normal business hours they could call local law enforcement to arrest me as there are several allegations in the complaint against me. When I tried to return the call, they hang up and do not answer. I attempted to call back to find out if it is indeed me or to inform them they have the wrong number. Still no answer after several attempts.

- Lakeland, FL, USA

I received the attached voicemail threating to have me arrested if i did not call them back

- Colorado Springs, CO, USA

My phone rings with the number above. I never answer my phone if I do not recognize the number. Then they leave a recorded voicemail (that is partially recorded because the recording begins when my answering machine picks up). In essence the message states that they have tried to contact me for 6 months regarding some issue (that they do not state) and that if I do not call them back they will file charges in the morning. I tried a reverse lookup for the phone and could only see that it was a cell phone from New York and the carrier is Slic Network Solutions in New York. Additionally, I hAve not received any notifications from any one regarding something that would warrant this phone call or message.

- Oakland, CA, USA

Called on my cell phone and said because I was a good citizen, etc., nothing bad in my background, I was eligible for a $700., gift from the government. He gave me some number to reference and another number to call. Then about an hour latter, I got a similar call only from a closed phone id caller, saying that the government was going to give me $9000, if I called into a number. I hung up and called the BBB.

- Bloomington, IN, USA

I get phone calls almost daily from a highly perky man or woman saying that since I have recently stayed in one of their resorts (I haven't) I qualify for a vacation

- Lees Summit, MO, USA

I received a phone call around 10:20 AM to my cell phone which showed the incoming call as a local number. When answered, a man says "This is Joe from the company staffing department." He pauses so I said "Ok" and he immediately hung up. When I called the number back, I get a recorded message that is very generic and says it's customer service and you can press 1 to speak to a representive or 2 to be placed on a do not call list. I chose 1 hoping to find out who this is. Instead another recording states all representative are busy serving other customers. Then asks for an email address to address your concerns via email. I did not do that and I did not press 2 either since I realized this was a scam.

- Fair Grove, MO, USA

A man with a very heavy accent called and asked to confirm all of my contact information, and what he had was correct. At one point he asked "where are you now?" and I told him it was none of his business. After a fairly lengthy conversation he finally made his point, which was that the IRS had them review my tax returns for the past five years and that I owe them $3,000. He repeated several times that there is a warrant out already for my arrest and that I would be arrested and put in jail for a very long time. He suggested I might be a victim of identity theft and asked if I made purchases online. When I told him that was nonsense, that I HAD in fact had correspondence from the IRS asking for a copy of a form that I had neglected to send with my 2016 tax return and that there was no mention of back taxes being owed. He ignored that information and insisted that I would be arrested for tax evasion for this amount due. I hung up on him at that point so I could do a search on the number used.

Called place of employment when i answered the phone saying my first name, he said first last and name, I said yes and he instantly hangs up.

- Long Beach, CA, USA

Called and appear to be having trouble with the line, then came back on and said " can you hear me now", when I said yes they promptly hung up. I had just read about this scam on Facebook and didn't think about it when I answered yes. Could be there using your recorded yes to approve purchases or phone charges. When I called back I got a recording saying their web address was [email protected], when I selected to talk to a representative they said all representatives were busy

- Bedford, PA, USA

The company (name not listed) located at the above address is sending junk email advertising emails, about 20 a day. I have tried to unsubscribe, but understand when you successfully unsubscribe they only take you off that one advertiser and the they keep sending numerous others. I have sent them a personal letter requesting to be removed from their master list. I don't know how they got my email and never gave authorization to use my email. This is a clear violation of the Federal Can Spam Act.

- Seattle, WA, USA

I was called at 6:20pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. The nice woman offered me an unbelievable deal on travel all expenses paid, car, cruise ship, including meals. All because I had stayed at one of their hotels. When she paused, I asked her to please take my phone # off their list and never call it again. Before I was finished, she jumped in and said she was sorry but she had trouble hearing what I said and started to reiterate everything about how wonderful it was while I was trying to re-ask her to take the phone # off their call list. At the end I told her she had heard me and this was abuse. I hung up.

This is the second time I have received this type of phone call and the exact same thing has happened. I fear I will not be taken off their list.

Received a phone call asking for the owner of the phone. It was a lady who called. The owner of the phone answered yeah can I ask who is calling. Once the owner of the phone said these words he heard a beep and the caller hung up the call. When the phone number was called back it was a Dominos pizza and then Joes barn. Dominos was a lady who answered and Joes barn was a male.

- Concord, NH, USA

Upon answering the phone an automated message stated my vehicle warranty is expiring and asked if I would like to speak to a warranty specialist. Upon answering yes the call ended.
