The ASK TECH company support 800-240-1371 was not the original number I dialed. On Google I contacted Norton 360 as I have an account with them. The person answering advised I needed to provide cc to take $1 on card in pending status after they verify my Norton account. I thought it was unusual but I did it, even though Norton had never done it before. When I told them the problem they advised they would send me to specialist in area (in this case it was email). The person was totally lacking in knowledge and advised me to look in junk folder (like I would not have done that.) As this was a major airline that I was waiting for email confirmation, it did not seem right. Tech who then advised he is actually with Just Answer to take control of computer, which I did, still thinking it was Norton 360. Tech could not resolve. I then found the correct number for Norton, who checked everything and advised this was most likely a scam posing as Norton. My then $1 went away and then it showed $57 and then name changed from Just Answer to ASKTECH Support 800-240-1371 and amount changed to $56 ($1. did come off). I called American Express. Advised to contact them, which I did and I was advised by manager that they would cancel my subscription to this monthly service which I knew nothing about, but $56 would not be refunded. I've contacted American Express over this matter and following up with this complaint.
