I was looking for Dental insurance online and saw an ad for Aetna dental plans. I called the number and a woman who referred to herself as Jaclyn presented herself as a sales representative for Aetna dental insurance. She asked me a few standard insurance questions like if this is for myself or family plan, what my budget was and if I had pre existing conditions. She then told me there’s a plan for $59.97 a month that would cover all teeth cleanings and X-rays and cover 50% of orthopedic surgeries. After I agreed she asked for my credit information which I provided over the phone. She then sent me a email with a link to sign a contract. After that I received several emails from [email protected]

The first saying “Congratulations! Thank you for purchasing additional benefits to go with your health insurance plan. Please save our customer service number (888) 742-2908 in your contacts for quick, easy access to speak with a live agent. We’re available Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm EST.” the next email gave me my user name and temporary password to login to their portal https://www.1enrollment.com/index.cfm?id=706729

In all the emails I don’t see “Aetna” anywhere just some made up company “membership benefits plus”

Jaclyn gave me a number and said I could reach the office if I had any questions.. I tried calling this number several times and no answer. This was a scam
