I received a phone call from telephone number 231-445-5332 with an automated message that they need to speak to the person with the my phone number. They stated that they had a file number but did not give a number and that I need to contact them at 888-895-3917. I then called the 888 number and "Carmen" answered the phone stating the company was NCC. I asked her what that stood for and she told me that it was North Center Collections. She did not state that she was attempting to collect on a debt and that she did not need a file number that she could look up my "file" using the number I called in on and repeated my number to me. She then stated that she was an arbitrator for her client. I asked her what client and she responded with "her client". She then told me that I owed $495.00 and how did I intend to pay. I told her that she could either email or mail me the proof of validation and she refused. I told her that this was a bogus claim and that I owe no such debt. I told her that I would have my attorney contact her and she tried to argue with me that it will not stop her from sending this claim to the prosecutor.
