Add popped up in a game. Prices were very good. Ordered items, then realized it was a scam. Spelling mistakes in confirmation email, different amount, shipping fee. Cancelled transaction with credit card. Cancelled card.

Saw an add for a sewing machine from Joanne's. I knew they were closing. So I ordered the items.

- Brooklyn, NY, USA

I clicked on a Facebook Marketplace ad for shelves. I was looking for bookshelves. The website was Wayfair Discount, so I assumed it was a discount/factory store from Wayfair, a website I already knew. I ordered two shelves for total $60. Almost a month later, the Chap GPT customer service was still stringing me along, telling me the tracking for China Post and that the order was still en route. There were updates in tracking - cleared customs, etc, and showed the package having left various Chinese cities and arrival in the United States, New York, Brooklyn, even, where it was to be delivered. The Chap GPT email answer from customer service kept telling me the package had been delivered, but they would not tell me the local carrier or local tracking. The even have offered me a refund, but they have not issued a refund or confirmed that one was being processed.

The charge was listed as "Ohmmi Singapore", but the "package" "tracking" showed the package originating in China. When I ordered originally, my credit card didn't work, so I used a debit card. All sorts of little things that in retrospect seem off. This morning very early, I had a fraud alert from my bank that there were several over $300 suspect charges. I don't know that there is a connection, but I am suspicious. I certainly have never received any bookshelves. I was charged February 26, 2025. It is now March 23, 2025.
