They reached out about something I was selling on Next Door. They said they were interested and that their wife, Judith, would come and pick it up. Then they said that they wouldn’t be able to make it that night and that they would overnight me a check. Then they texted back and said that they were going to send me more money than what I had listed the item for and that I had to be the one to pay the “freelance” moving company. I gave them my address and name, but that’s it. Something started to feel off, so I googled the phone number and found out someone else had just dealt with a similar situation in March 2024
