I received a call from a company claiming to have been hired to "locate" me because court documents were being filed and they would be served to my home. I was asked to confirm my name (the name they has was wrong), address, last 4 digits of my social and they provided a birth date which was incorrect (it was my mother's birthdate). When challenged on any of the details they told me they had no other information and they were just hired by the Court to locate me. They provided a file number and a telephone number for me to contact which I did. A woman answered the phone identifying herself by her first name and nothing else. She was providing me the same details as the previous caller and couldn't help me further. I filed a police report because recently there were several attempts (some successful) to open credit in my name. I called the number again today to find out the name of the company. A woman again answered and I asked what company she was with and she very rudely stated "National" and that they were a legal proceedings company and if there was nothing else she could do i should have a nice rest of the day. They have information from a scan already perpetrated on me and were attempting to scam me further. I confirmed with the debt collector on the previous scam that the file was closed and i should not be receiving any calls or mail regarding same.

Ace Cash Express in cahoots with “National”

I received an unknown call from some one but didn’t answer. They left a voice mail stating she works for a location service and would need to contact 855-249-2803 I called the number and provide the claim number left in voicemail. They stated I owe a debt to Ace cash Express for $$$$. Stated there are “ 3 allegations being filed against you” red flag number one. I asked the rep do they have an address, email, fax number, or website and advised they don’t need to provide that. They went on to say that they will be filing the case in my county and I will have to show up to court. Another red flag they stated my license would be suspended unless I pay. I refused to pay anything until I received paperwork in the mail or actually served. So this is where it gets fishy. I contacted Ace cash express and was advised my account was handled by a 3rd party now . I contacted that third party who directed me to “Collection Attorney USA” which in turn they directed me to “ADP” which in turn directed me to……. SURPRISE! “National”. Ace Cash Express sold my information to these people and they are now harassing me and my mother and who knows else. These people even have my banking information and SSN.

I wanted to report a scam collection call I received from National in March 2022. Collecting $392. My original debt was $232. Threatened to take me to court. Said the court process is started. They also called my husband and daughter. I freaked out. I have never been to court. I did owe the old debt. The threats scared me and my family. I gave my credit card number. I set up payments of $100.18, $146 and $146. They charged my credit card. I disputed the charges when the actual collection company contacted me. They told me I got scammed. Said they cannot threaten you that way. I would get something in the mail. I did lose $392. They called from phone number 855-240-0965. I called the number back. I spoke with Jordan X352.They knew my name and address. My daughter and husbands phone numbers also. I called my credit card company and reported it.

I received a call Monday morning on 5/24 from a woman named Kayla Davis stating that they're trying to locate me because there is a case being filed against me in my county. The woman gave me a case number and an 855 number to call regarding my case. They called my parents leaving voicemails on their phones about locating me. I looked myself up online and i don't see anything on my record. The woman had my date of birth but asked me to confirm my social security number. The woman would not provide the location of their place of business.

Multiple different people leave voicemails and call from different numbers. They also call my family members who live out of state, as well as my EMPLOYER! they say that a case has been filed against me in san Francisco county, which is where I live, and say I need to call 855-445-1587 for any details regarding this case immediately before a certain date because on that date they will be coming to my home and job to arrest me!! They tell my family they are coming to their homes as well. And they told my boss there was a warrant for my arrest!!

I called the number and gave them the case number the calling party leaves and I was put on hold then a man got on the line. He informed me a case was filed against me on such and such a date, but before he could discuss it further he needed to verify he was speaking with the correct person. He stated the day and month of my birthday and asked me to tell him the year I was born. I refused to give any info. I asked him what the company name he worked for was and he responded "National". I said national what? He just just national mam, we are a processing service agency and we locate people and assist companies with filing court cases and serving court documents. I asked where they were located? He responded "we do not give out our location due to the nature of our business and threats we receive due to the sensitive matters we handle". I laughed at him and said I think this is a scam and I'm reporting u to proper authorities. He said please due mam, and I'll note your negative refusals to cooperate and we will have to use this recorded conversation against you in court. Have a nice day, and he hung up! The phone calls are so repetitive and harassing. My family members were scared, my employer was confused and I was so embarrassed! I can't believe they are getting away with this. They need to be stopped. Someone please help, they are truly disrupting my life and my entire family's lives.

This company called me and represented themselves as being an employee at the county of Orange. They explained to me that a past acquaintance listed my phone number as a point of contact. I know this to be untrue because I have not given my cell number that was changed in the past year to this person. It is obvious they obtained my information through skip tracing. She said that a case is being filed against him with the county and that he needs to call back immediately. I asked several times where she was calling from and she continued to say the County of Orange. She gave me a case number reference. When I called the number she gave back this same individual (I verified her name Kordy Mitchell) answered the line. I asked the company info and she told me National (shew said there was not another part of their name only National). When I asked for a manager she refused to let me speak to one until I gave her the case number. Once she transferred me I was sent to a Sunny Stevens who said she was a manager. I asked again what the company was and she said National Proceedings. I asked what the nature of the business and she said that they handled cases being filed on someone. I explained to her that I knew that they were a debit collector and that they broke the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act by misrepresenting themselves as a government agency. To my knowledge this is a federal crime to falsely represent yourself as a government agent. They did not seem to have any concern that their employee was breaking the law at all.

Said his name was Blair Williams, never gave name of company, said i had a case against me, gave me a bogus case number and needed to call the legal dept at 8552130271, when called they answered National and then mumbled. Hung up after i asked why I kept getting a call from the 954 phone number. They had #s to my mother and sister as well..sounds like a total phishing scheme saying they are trying to physically locate me
