I rec’d message stating to call regarding this outstanding account. I called and was told they were going to file paperwork tomorrow morning if we did not make arrangements to be an outstanding debt. I was told the creditor was Household Bank/HSBC Bank. No prior account number would be shared with me and no proof that this was legitimate. Was told the outstanding debt was $1302.00 and if we didn’t make arrangements to pay it would cost us $5309.00 in total incl court fees. I was then told if I agreed to set up installments of $201.12 for months or pay in full the reduced settlement amount of $804.50 today it would not go to Court. I called HSBC twice and confirmed no accounts in my name or my husbands they searched by SSN. I did not provide a credit card instead was sent an ensign doc to sign and give credit card info. This letter listed an account number I called HSBC back and was advised that was not a valid account number. I was advised to check credit report to see if it listed. I checked Experian, there is nothing listed about this. I called the Norton & Assoc Group back and I asked for a copy of notice of intent letter she sent she sent 45 days ago that I could reference and she refused. I asked for an address of the company or an email or website so I could confirm they are legitimate and she refused.
