I was applying for remote jobs. I got an email back from one with instructions to download Microsoft Teams. Then contact them through their email in the app. They asked for my name, email, phone number and position applying for. They then sent me to another website to fill out an application. After setting up an appointment to conduct a second interview on the Teams app I got a message saying I got the job. After sending me an offer letter they wanted to send me money for equipment, but only through an emailed check that could only be direct deposit only. Then wanted me to confirm when it was done with a screenshot. I got the check for $250 less than my limit. They also kept telling me that I had to be home to sign for the equipment. Why send me money for the equipment if you are also going to send the equipment. They don't actually answer a direct question they keep sending what looks like form letter looking responses. And anytime they send a message asking how I am doing it comes through at 3 am.
