Mega Millions Reports & Reviews – Page 7 (149)

I received a call letting me know that I had won 5.5 million dollars and it was waiting for me at the Edmonton International Airport and they asked if I would be home today to receive the money personally. I was told that the money was being accompanied by FBI Agent Mark Peterson.

I tried to do *69 on the phone but it did not come up with a phone number that called me so I could not confirm it came from the airport.

I was given a phone number to call 1-876-886-0231 and was told I needed to pay $180 for insurance.

I called the phone number and spoke to Robert Hadams (spoke with a strong accent) who told me he was from Mega Millions in Toronto Ontario. He then asked if I paid the $180. When I asked him what that was for he said CRA so they could deliver my winnings.

When I told him I did not believe him he pressured me to explain why I did not believe him so he could do better next time.

I received a call from Mr. Cooper at Publisher's Clearinghouse. He told me I won $38,000 and needed to pay $380 to get my prize. He said he would email me some forms. I received an email from Kevin Williams, President/CEO of Mega Millions. Attached was a letter from Mega Million, a check for $3,500,000 and paperwork which said I needed to pay $3,800, by Money Gram or Western Union, to get my money.

Mega Millions called me and told me I had won $10,175,000.00.  He said I would have to send them 17,000 to cover part of the taxes on the winnings and they would send me the money bank wire transfer to my bank and in turn I would need to send them 11,000 to cover the balance left owed by me to be able to collect the remaining 6 million.  I fell for the first.  Needless to say I didn't receive the winnings.

Ok we are sorry for what happened to you but there is away how you could receive back your money iam David foster my number is 6159886454

My aunt was contacted by a person claiming to be from Mega Millions and she had won a Million Dollars and would come Monday and bring a car. I would like to report this activity. The numbers they have called from are :876-598-9716 and 876-588-7189 and 876-356-3518.

A call telling me I had won Mega Millions sweepstakes and they would deliver it to my home at 2:45 this afternoon.

I ask him (indian sounding man) what it would cost me to get this and he said I would have to pay $850 for tax on the amount and could go to Western Union to send the money. I told him I did not have that kind of money and he hung up. I called him back to get the money and when he answered, sounded like a pet dog in the background and then I hung up. I think it is a scam and I am sure I am not going to get any millions at my door at 2:45 pm, so wanted to report it.

I have received several phone calls from the manager of Mega Millions. The first time I won $6.5 million. He wanted me to send $85 for my cash prize. The last time he called it was down to 2,5 million. Caller also had me speak with his manager. I asked them to donate the money to St. Judes, Boys Town and Make a Wish. The caller became angry when I requested they donate the money. I know it is a scam and wanted to report the call. The three phone numbers they called from are 876-869-5616, 876-581-9302 and 876-292-1281. All numbers were on my caller ID. It sounded like the same person calling each time. JM showed on my caller ID.

We have received at least a dozen calls from an out-of-area number. Each time, the caller says they are from either Mega Millions or something similar. We have won first, second, or third prize, with the prizes ranging from $500,000 to 2 million dollars. For only a small fee, ranging from $100 to $1700, depending on the caller, we can receive the winnings. All we have to do is give them our bank account number. They will wire the money straight to our account. Persistent little pests!

Phone number 8765745809. Caller said he was robin green from mega million lotto. I laughed at him an asked him if his name was robbing green like robbing money. He didn't understand and spelled his name for me. He explained I needed to send him 1300 dollars to receive a lottery I won of 4.5 million dollars.

Someone claiming to be Michael L*** from Mega Millions has been calling my 87-year-old mother in Arizona saying she won a few million dollars in a sweepstakes prize and they want thousands of dollars up front from her so they can pay the IRS taxes on her prize before they will let her have the prize. Last Tuesday they told her they deposited over $18,000 directly into her checking account and they asked her to go to a different bank and write two checks for 'cash" for $9,500 each. The scammer never deposited any money in to her account. They keep promising day after day they will fly a helicopter from Las Vegas to her house and deliver briefcases of cash but they keep making new excuses why they never show up and they claim the blame is on UPS for not delivering something. They tell her not to tell her family anything. When she calls their number a Magic Jack recording says number is busy.

ScamPulse.com received an inquiry from a lady who received a call from an individual claiming she won  4 million dollars in a lottery that was held in Las Vegas.  She did not fall for the telephone call that was wanting her to wire money of about $280 in order to get the millions.

Received a call saying had won $3 million. Wanted to meet at the bank to get $126,000 before getting the money.

I received a call from mega millions

I got a call from several phone numbers (876-442-5325 and 239-400-3725) stating I won the mega millions and I don't have to pay for anything, but must cover taxes. The first person I talked to was Phillip Sterling. I was then called by another person named Kenneth Foster saying there was a $250 service fee and I had to pay it via MoneyGram or Western Union. Brian Wilson called me from 239-400-3725 and my caller ID indicated it was from Florida. The guy said his name was Anthony Fisher. I didn't pay any money to them, but thought about why I started receiving these calls. I recently completed an application for postmates.com and the calls started shortly after that.

- Golden, CO, USA

A Mr. Paul Smith called saying I have won 2.5 MM, 500,000 liquid cash and a new Mercedes Benz. He called in Mega Millions, I don't play it. Phone numbers I was given to call are the following: 866-996-5997, 876-413-4039,

First he gave me a check number of 208406 and had me call the 866-996-5997 and verify my win by giving the check number, of course it verified me as a winner. He asked me some questions, said the phone call was being recorded by the FBI.

He asked that I do a Walmart to Walmart transaction and send $385.00 in cash to a Belinda Thompson in New Orleans, LA then I would get my papers delivered to me today so I could go and claim my prizes. I did not go any further in listening to his message or sending any money away.

- Evansville, IN, USA

Man named Peter Mason (however he had a mexican accent) has called me three times telling me i have won 2.5 million dollars in the Mega Millions Sweepstakes. I told him it was a scam and he would not be getting any information from me about myself, my bank account or anything else. He said he did not need any of my personal information. I just needed to go to the bank and open a new account. Mega Millions would put money in the account for me and all I had to do was take out 1% of the 2.5 million and send it to the IRS and he would give me the address where the 1% of 2.5 million dollars would go. I told him I was not going to do is because I know it is a scam and I was calling the ScamPulse.com.

Mega Millions lottery. Pay $500 and get a Mercedes and 4.7 million.
