Type of a scam Online Purchase

I went online to purchase a Maltese puppy and Max Coliver emailed me and asked that I text (gave phone number) to show more pictures of dog. I text and we went back and fourth what color I was looking for, white, how much $600, is shipping included or separate charge, included per Max. Will deliver directly to house. I asked where did he or she live, DC. I said ok, what’s next, he asked when did I want the puppy, I said by Christmas. It was a gift for my daughter. He/she said I had to put down deposit $300 to hold. I did and asked for delivery 12/22/18. I paid balance of $300 both thru Zelle my bank. I transferred funds over. I asked what time he/she said shipping co will call or text me that day. Then he/she asked for my email to transfer dog over to me. Everything was set, Sat got email of tracking number and shipping company. Then 12 hours later I email seller asking if they heard anything because tracking was not giving me any information. Seller told me shipping co texted me. They wanted $90 for vaccinations and $900 for new crate due to weather and I will be reimbursed when delivered.I said no, tried to call them number don’t work. I text seller to pay since my cost included shipping, this was there responsiblity. Seller said paperwork is in my name, I said I don’t have nothing stating that so no seller is responsible for shipping cost. Seller said they are not responsible so I said I would report him/her. Seller stop responding. No word from shipping company or seller.
