A friend asked me if I heard the news ? I said what news he said he won 150 000 amd sent me a link and I spije to her I was so happy but then I had to send money .. I reversed search app the photo she sent me and realised it was a scam and I ask my friend if he could send me a picture of himself wit the money

Impersonation of my cousin

This person started instant messaging me telling me about free government grant money. She got $50,000 and doesn't have to pay it back. She had personal information about me and my cousin. She was relentless. I said no multiple times. They sent me a url and gave the name of an attorney who supposedly endorsing the program. She insists she isn't scamming me. If it's free info why the hard sell? Plus this cousin of mine never instant messages me.

Something Didn't Feel Right(IDA Atty Mary L. Smith)

A long time friend told me about Mary L. Smith and he gave me her link. So far she has my name, address and phone number, she's now asking for my ID. She hasn't asked for money yet, but something felt off and I had a feeling that she was going to ask for money so I looked her up and came across this site. I read a few of the complaints. Told her there were complaints filed against her and perhaps she can explain it and that it's in my nature to check things out and that I have law enforcement in my family.

Mary l Smith contacting me and told me she was a government assistant and she was an attorney for Americans and if I can send her $1,500 she will send me $50,000 back I have not yet received it I've gave her $1,900 on a gift card she has my address and my phone number because she said she was going to deliver it it never came she told me that I had to pay for the FedEx driver's gas she told me I had to pay for two FBI agents to come with the FedEx driver then once I gave her the rest of the $50 that she asked for it which added up to $1,900 she still continue to ask for more money I am done with her I've been dealing with her since October 2nd matter of fact September 30th it's November 6th and I still have not received any payment from Mary L Smith she's call herself an attorney but I don't know if that's true

My messenger account was hacked. They used one of my friend's account, so I thought my friend was recommending Mary L. Smith and this bogus government grant program. I believed it at first, until the scammer kept texting me and asking me to keep her updated. Something my friend would not do. So I Googled Mary L. Smith and this site came up. I text the scammer back and said I was reporting it and then it quickly said goodbye. Scary times. I changed my password immediately.

I received a text from a friend of mine telling me she received $50K through Federal Govt CCP GRANT….with the helping her lawyer West Smyth. I filled out a very informal and laughable texted application,…..I also noted several language syntax errors in the texted messages I was receiving from this supposed lawyer…..I immediately felt I was being hoaxed…I told W. smyth (supposed lawyer) that I sensed a hoax and that I would not send any further information until he told me What federal agency awarded this supposed grant. I also asked him who he was and where his office was at. I did not get an answer to either of my questions but very quickly got a formal looking letter that my grant proposal & application had been received and excepted…. And that I would receive a check directly deposited into my checking account within the next week. I am now almost 100% positive that this is part of the scam being played out upon me and many Other Retired seniors in America currently.

I received a message on messenger from a longtime friend of mine Linda she told me about IDA PROGRAM and Attorney Mary L.Smith she gave me her number but it was all though text never spoke 4 her my friend said she paid $500 and got a check for $50,000 that it was delivered by UPS I wanted to pay with my debit card but she insisted that I pay with American express I told her I didn't have $500 but I could pay half now and the rest on 11/3/21 she said that would work so like a fool I paid her $250.00 l.now she keeps asking me when I will have the rest. I have sent a message to my friend Linda though her husband concerned now that she has been hacked. That was my bill money. I looked into IDA PROGRAM it was real and their is. Real Attorney Mary L.Smith. so I believed it was real. I really needed that Grant.

My aunt told me about attorney Mary L. smith from the federal Government Grant. She stated that she received a 100.00 thousand dollars grant check. This Attorney Smith is legit. So therefore I did apply for the grant gave her the information that was needed but i just felt fun when she next me and said don't tell anyone about this because they might take your money from you, she texted me a list of the amount of loan money I wanted I choose the 30,000 dollars. Ms, Smith asked did I want to pay now I said yes buso I was going to pay with my credit card, but she said to go to a store and get the 500 hundred dollars from a store by using an american gift card that just didn't sound right to refuss a credit caard but use a gift card what goverment agency does businesss like that so i told ms. Smith it was storming here, and I would t go to Walmart and get the gift card, but in my spirit it didn't feel right so i began to ask God for guidance in which i should have done in the first place . I am so thankful I listen to his guidance about sending the money but didn't ask for giving out my personal information. I pray that she dozen use my personal information. Lesson learn always seek Godly counseling before making any decision I know this but was blinded by the information that was given to me from a relative,
