According to the website Marlow Market Co., product description for Amos's Hand-carved wood spirit birdhouse stated that it was carved from a single piece of wood. However, I received a replica of the wood version that was made out of plastic, and it was half the size as well. It appears the advertising and a story about Amos Hensley retiring are fake. I was really hoping that I was going to get this for my wife as she actually carves as well. We know what real carved wood looks and feels like.

I purchased two Amos bird houses that were supposed to be wood hand carved and when I got them they were plastic from Amos hand carved bird house business that is also Marlow Marketing.
