The same thing happened to me today. I think I will take the check to the bank and then they can get authorities involved to track down the scammer. Here are pictures of the letter and the check.

I did receive the same check, usps priority mail. Deposited the check and It bounce back to me. I didn’t receive any letter just the check.

Received a USPS Priority Mail envelope from ABF FREIGHT, 4334 Director Drive, San Antonio, TX 78219-3204 with a check from Miami Postal Service Credit Union, Miami, FL 33152 for $1,950.52 check number B071118, dated 11/22/21with an unrecognizable signature. Attached was a letter appearing to be from Whole Foods from a Mark Henderson. They want you to deposit the check and provide them with your full name, amount received, bank name of the check, phone number and estimated time to complete the “Evaluation “. The instructions were to deposit the check, purchase $1500 worth of American Express gift cards from the stores they listed, scratch off silver areas with code and take pictures front and back. They ask me to text and email the completed report to (346)366-4252 and email [email protected]. This is the second time I received this.

The same happened to me on DEC 3.2021, and they stole my $1500 Amex gift card now I'm going to have to pay back my credit card and the check probably will bounce on my account. I was thinking I was a secret shopper for wholefoods :( HELP.
