While looking for freelance jobs, I came across a website that asked for my phone number. Soon after that, I was contacted by “Claudia” through WhatsApp indicating that there was a job opportunity at a company called Marjory that entailed the promotion of mobile Apps. She indicated that I had to review apps, which would allow me to get base salaries of $160, $600, $1500, and $2600, according to the number of consecutive days that I worked. To be able to log my work and “reset” for the next day, I had to make a deposit in krypto currency. Initially, I had to deposit $30, which I did thinking that it was a one time payment that would be reimbursed to me. The next day, I was asked to deposit about $185, which I refused to. Claudia became very rude and customer service was not at all helpful through their automated bot help. There was no number to contact them. To serve their clients, this company uses the website https://marjory.io/, which they claim is based in France.
