Same thing at the corner of Broadway and Thomas in Capitol Hill on 7/21/21. I did not donate because I saw that the PayPal was a personal account not a business. The young woman told me it was her manager’s account. When I said I’d only donate to a business name she said I could only donate cash then, which I refused. I posted a warning in the neighborhood FB group.

I was stopped on the street by the so-called proprietor of this business while walking to my bus in Seattle. She gave me a long spiel about her backstory and using the money she was raising to pay for college fees. She claimed very explicitly that her bosses and her company were giving her points based on the amount of sales she did. What she was "selling" was magazines, and there was never any option to back out. The lowest price available was 72 dollars. When agreed, she took your name, phone number, address, and signature, along with running your card in a portable card reader, effectively getting all information necessary for unauthorized use. I searched for Kuan Qualls, the name she had given me, online after the transaction posted and saw that she was the registered owner of this "business" called Lifeskillz, not an employee like she claimed, and that it wasn't an LLC, but instead a Sole Proprietorship. The address listed as the business home is a hotel in Fife, WA. I've been regularly receiving threatening calls from VOIP phone numbers from Kuan Qualls, under different numbers each time that belong to different and unrelated people, due to my chargeback of this scam. I have seen more unauthorized transactions on the card used for this, only after this happened, and have closed it.
