I found a dog French bulldog breeder on Instagram that I had been following for a while. The page seemed very legit. between post, stories, comments, past buyers etc. I finally reached out to a post he made about an available puppy to purchase. LGR Frenchie sent me a contract through email I read it over signed it and sent it back. I was told a $500 deposit was to be made to hold the dog so nobody else could purchase. I did that through paypal.I was told the dog would be shipped to BWI through a dog service used in Oregon. I went to the airport Monday the dog never showed up. The breeder reached out at 3pm when the dog was supposed to arrive and said there were some issues, and the dog would be sent out Tuesday. The next day the breeder took a video of a dog being in a crate which looked like a loading dock. I received a tracking number for the dog. Tracking number TAC0072348662057442 from TAC International Shippers. The dog had a layover in Chicago, IL I started receiving calls from a no caller id an hour before the dog was supposed to arrive at BWI. I would answer and nobody would say anything back and would hang up. I then started receiving emails from TAC International Shippers saying Urgent Temperature Regulatory Crate and Anti Pressure Shot/ Energy Booster needed for your French Bulldog $599 for city permit and $59 processing fee which needed to be paid before the dog could board her next flight which came to an additional $1817. I started to freak out and called the breeder which that person never answered but did answer through Instagram Direct Message. The breeder said he was on his way to the shipping company he used. I asked the breeder to give me the phone number or call me when arrived so I could hear what was going on as well. That never happened. The breeder was trying to force me to pay another $1817 for the dog. At this time, I went to BWI airport I went to the cargo facility and the airlines with the tracking number I had and found out that this was a shipping company nobody has heard of before let alone this was not a tracking number they use. The breeder's phone magical dies. The next day the breeder reaches out to see if I had any updates. Again, won't answer his phone but Instagram Direct Message. I decided to call O'Hare International Airport to see if the dog I paid for is there and if they heard of the dog shipping service. I was told ma'am I'm sorry to say this, but you fell for a scam. I again try to call the breeder no answer but will answer Instagram Direct Message which at this point I tell the breeder they scammed me Chicago airport doesn't have the dog I paid for let alone has heard of the service they used. The breeder tells me to fly to Chicago and get the dog. Which I did not. I tell the breeder that they need to give me my money back $3775 that I paid for a dog that was never real. The breeder then sends me a picture of a dog that I didn't even buy and tell me that they received from a Chicago dog facility waiting for this dog to be picked up. The tree in the background is tropical from a back yard that the dog is in without an airport surrounding or worker. I have all Instagram Direct Message emails as proof of what I am saying. The breeder OfCourse refuses to give me my money back and I have no dog that I purchased.
