Labor Law Posters Reports & Reviews (24)

- Medford, OR, USA • Aug 28, 2025

I recently registered an LLC. Within a week or so I received a letter by mail stating that I may be required to display 'comprehensive labor law posters' which they stated was required by state and federal law. I didn't realize (being this is my first LLC) that I was being scammed until it was too late. I made the payment and quickly noticed that the "refund" email address used a Gmail account. Then I realized that I didn't really need the posters. I contacted my bank and canceled my card. My bank informed me that they had already approved the transaction but the payment hadn't yet been taken. There was also a $0.00 charge from Google. I cancelled my card and contacted fraud prevention to put a stop on the charge.

Saying we had to buy an updated labor laws poster English version. Which is funny because we have no employees.

An official-looking form was sent to my newly formed LLC address stating that this business will help us stay in compliance with state and federal laws. If we do not send the correct amount of money to them, we could be fined up to $7000 for noncompliance. There is no phone number, email address, or website on this form and when I tried to look up the business name on the internet, nothing comes up. The name and address of this business is stated as: Filing Assistance Services, PO Box 924328, Miami, FL, 33092

- Jefferson, IA, USA

Received a letter today (3/10/25) from Filing Assistance Services out of Princeton, FL stating that my business "may be required to display an updated Labor Law Poster at my workplace." and it "may need a Certificate of Status (also known as a Certificate of Good Standing) to verify your entity's compliance with state requirements". It goes on to say that failure to comply with these requirements can result in fines UP TO 7,000 or impact your ability to conduct business seamlessly.

Needless to say, I put a rather "kind" message suggesting they get a real job and stop scamming people on the return slip and sent it back to them. Doubt the message will do much good but it made me feel better. :)

The letter states that as a new business owner, the owner must be compliant and post current labor law posters in the workplace. We just opened a new LLC and this scam company can get new business owner info from the state somehow. These labor law posters are free of charge from the WA State Labor and Industries. The web site is not legit, the letter is stating that if we don't post the poster we will be fined up to $7,000. We got 2 different notices from two different places, the other letter was for $129.75 for the same thing and we will report that company as well.

I received a bill in the mail from this company in Florida saying that I had until 1/9/2025 to send a payment for 189.95 in check or money order for labor law posters and a certificate of status for my business, in IOWA…

There is no phone number to call or website to reference for more information about this company.

The information is not legible in the letter either… If I didn’t know better than to check into something like this, then why would someone else when was trying to get a new business off the ground?

I think someone should do something about this before they take advantage of another small company like me.

- Dover, AR, USA

Official looking letter, meant to look like an invoice, meant to look like it is from the government. Claiming my business must buy a poster from them to comply with labor laws.

- Sartell, MN, USA

I set up a new LLC with the MN SOS. Five weeks later I received mail indicating I needed to have labor law posters for the new LLC. I sent a check and have not received any posters. Decided today after 6 weeks I would cancel the order. That is when I found out it is a scam.

Received a letter in the mail for our new business, stating we needed to purchase the labor law posters to avoid fines. Price on the letter for the set of posters was $130. No action was taken and letter was set aside for a few weeks. We received a phone call about a month later about the same labor law posters, but now the price was $189. I did not have the letter in front of me and could not remember the exact price it quoted so I assumed the $189 was correct. It has been a month, no posters in the mail, account was charged, and no correspondence back to the email given on the letter. One quick Google search for a contact number and I see labor law poster scam articles galore!

- Minneapolis, MN, USA

Received mail with prepaid envelope from Business Services trying to sell me a Labor Law Poster

- Peoria, AZ, USA

labor law poster compliance service poster fee of $105. Was registered as my first time as an LLC and scammed for with this piece of mail received,. I have the original letter mailed to myself. They gave a business ID of 23298797

- Santa Rosa, CA, USA

I was billed a "document processing fee of $135" "to obtain" a "current, compliant labor law poster" and warned that "Failure to comply with posting regulations can lead to fines up to $7,000" and "According to Federal Law 29 USC Sec. 666 (i) & 29 Sec. 2005, the consequences of non-compliance with posting regulations can result in substantial fines exceeding $7,000 per violation for failure to display federally mandated information." Hah! Sec. 666. Ooooh.

They even have the nerve and audacity to claim that they're "not a government agency or affiliated with the government" and "Please note that this service has not received approval or endorsement from any government agency. It is important to clarify that this offer is a solicitation and not an invoice due. Entity Solutions does not make any representations or warranties regarding the information provided herein."

- Brookfield, CT, USA

Received a letter requiring a payment of 119.75 to comply with a 2024 Sate and Federal All-in-One Labor Law Poster needed to be placed at a newly established place of business. Payment was requested by check via USPS or by scanning a QR code with a 5.95 processing fee.

- Oconto Falls, WI, USA

I received a letter about needing a Compliant Labor Law poster. The overall template/layout of the letter seemed to be legit. The only thing that seemed weird to me was that they decided to use a gmail account for their "Contact Us" section and no phone number. Also the fact that they used a PO BOX. They were asking for $119.75 for the document fee. They had even placed a QR code on the letter to make it look more legit. I had called the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and asked them about the letter. They confirmed it was a scam and that anything I'd need was free to download off of their website.

- Seattle, WA, USA

I received an official-looking mailing through USPS with a return envelope postage-paid. The name and address on the mailing is "Compliance Division Solutions, PO Box 924888, Princeton, FL 33092-9800." They are offering to sell me a federal labor law poster which, 1) I do not need, and 2) can be downloaded for free from the government. Reading the fine print makes it clear that this is a scam, but it is worded in a way to sound both threatening and "official" to anyone who does not read it closely.

The scammer contacted my newly founded LLC using a very official looking letter and a business reply envelope to try and claim that the business needed a labor law compliance poster. They used a gmail address for a supposedly government letter which was my signal that this was a scam.
