Didn’t get any money out of me too sketchy

She trying to sell cars on marketplace place for $1200 claims her husband died 4 months ago and that’s she in the military and she’s leaving for a year and didn’t want to pay for insurance and storage fees for a year didn’t sound real because why would you sell your husbands car right after he died and an eBay sale

Scammed out of $400

I found the listing on Facebook marketplace stating she had a truck for sale listed at 1400. Ashley then sent me two forms to prove it was a legit sale. When in fact it wasn't. I called the number on the FB form I was sent and was directed to a rep who then asked me for an ID number. I gave that said number and was informed I wasn't being scammed. So I went to the location on the form for the bitcoin ATM. I deposited $400 for the down payment. When I went to contact Ashley, she wanted me to deposit the money in the full amount. Meaning she has no clue what this form says and making me realize that it is a scam. And something needs to be done so he/she can't do this anymore.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

To good to be true - usually is. Seller (scammer) claims husband died of heart attack unexpectedly and must sell because has too many difficult memories. Aside from the obvious warning signs, the broken English and poor grammar was also an indicator of a scam. I was excited for a few minutes and then common sense took over, but I wanted to report this person so hopefully someone doesn’t fall for it.
