"This is an emergency message intended for {my name}, file number DA-10144441. My name is Jenny and I am contacting you in reference to a complaint that has been forward to my office registered against you. Should you wish to discuss the pending action that may be filed you need to contact the firm in control of this matter at 877-474-6001. Failure to respond will result in the form proceeding without your consent so please be advised that this call has been logged and submitted as proof that you have been notified of this matter."
I work in the legal field myself and I was 99% sure this was a scam call so I called the number back and demanded to know who was calling. I was told that it was "Document Delivery Services" . I demanded to know what the "complaint" was regarding, who the attorney was that was going to be filing action against me, etc. and the caller hemmed and hawed when I questioned her and ultimately hung up.
